A delicate subject. A film who, at the first sigh, seems not convincing. But its purpose is not to present a case, to sensibilize or to change. But to propose a possibility and to provoke to honesty. So, it is a surprising film for the grace and for the state of viewer after final credits. Decent performances, a game, words and the confession, the dialogue between Santiago and his sister and the last word, about fragility and about your turn. Not the artistic virtues are significant in this case but the delicacy to give another perspective about brotherhood, loneliness, friendship and way to discover yourself. An inspired one. And profound useful. So, the seed of a state of mind . And soul.

How not to tackle an important subject? Here's a good example. The non-linear narrative here fails to convince and the acting of this bunch of kids is wanting also.

We get clichés galore - sisterly love, scorn for the people afflicted with HIV, a hand being removed on revelation that someone is seropositive.

The ending is equivocal but I came away from it with a pessimistic impression. The excuses and prevarication from the friends didn't sound true.

It's an important subject in general and in particular for the main protagonist in the film but it wasn't handled in a convincing way. The best thing about this was the ending.
