Avis à la une
Title says it all, it's nothing special, but a fast-paced, witty and colourful crime comedy, with a nice romance thrown in for good measure (which doesn't get too much screen time, just the right amount). The first few minutes (and opening credits) are slower paced to introduce the three main characters, but once the pieces are on board, the story picks up speed and, while sometimes going pretty much over-the-board, never diverges into pure fantasy - as crazy as some situations may be, the protagonists stay believable, and so we're able to stay with them. Well done!
A nice, little, undemanding comedy from Germany. Above all, the cast of actors is worth watching the film. Sit together with your friends and some beer and this movie is the right one.
After spending an entire day at a 5,000-year-old archaeological site, I found myself tired and worn out in my hotel room. I decided to order Jiao Laga Ji chicken for delivery, settled in, and turned on a movie. It was the perfect way to unwind! Elyas M'Barek as Milo and Palina Rojinski as Sunny provided exactly the entertainment I needed in this German comedy directed by Simon Verhoeven, who also played one of the bachelors in the film.
While falling in love has always been easy, building a stable relationship from that love can be quite challenging. Our protagonist, Milo, starts off strong until his friend Renzo (Frederick Lau) makes an appearance.
The film is light, fast-paced, and genuinely funny for me!

I am keen on this movie, for its cast. Frederick Lau is a very talented actor, never saw him acting badly. My favorite movie with him is Victoria, but he is good everywhere. Elias M'Barek is my soft spot since his silly school trilogy Suck me Shakespeare, he just fits German comedies, thats what he does. And also I like when both of them are joined by Palina Rojinski, who alludes to completely different world and style, but here she actually plays well old-fashioned, out-of-place beauty who is waiting for her prince in a comical way (women like that still exist, believe or not), cause there is nothing more ridiculous than waiting for a monogamous relationship in Berlin. Also, "Russian gangsters" in the film are cute, and even terrible "mobster" Kempa. So, it is my feelgood film for relaxation. And it reminds me of good old times in Berlin.
I seriously question every life choice that led me to watch this garbage pile disguised as a "Comedy crime movie".
To call this movie bad would be an understatement. We have it all here: cliché romance, horrible dialog, nonsensical story, weak actors, terrible jokes and atrocious direction.
If you wonder how a script this bad is green-lighted by any Film Studio, don't ask me, I wonder the same.
But what is most baffling about all this is, that even a movie this awful has apparently a target audience that likes it. Just scroll through the reviews if you don't believe me. I must have either slept through the "good" parts or there's some hidden symbolism that was totally lost on me (spoiler: there isn't). Otherwise I can't understand how any sane person could give this movie a 7/10 or higher.
If I hadn't lost faith in humanity already, I definitely would now.
