Avis à la une
French films usually give me the crêpes <-- see what I did there ;p
Novice French writer and director Patrice Laliberté makes his first full length feature film debut with this little gem, and nailed it.
The directing and cinematography were spot-on. Location setting in the vast northern Quebec region was spectacular - I wish more aerial landscape shots were shown. The score was perfect and not overbearing. The casting and performances were excellent and very convincing. What I really enjoyed was the no-nonsense non-Hollywood-ish real-life writing. It felt sort of like a live documentary shoot gone bad. Although the pacing in the beginning was a little slow, it picked up when the suspense began. The 83 min runtime wasn't too long, in fact, I wanted more.
If you're into wilderness/survivalist films, you will love this. I'm not, but still really enjoyed it. Props to Netflix for picking up this little French gem and dubbing it in so many languages.
It's a well deserved 8/10 from me

I thought this was a pretty good thriller about a Survivalist Training Camp that went wrong. There were enough thrills and twists to keep the movie interesting throughout. Excellent performances also by the Actors and Actresses involved.
Another dubbed film from netflix, but I will be honest I enjoyed this movie. I do like survival movies and good settings. Looks very nice. There is a certain scene which if this was an American film would have been over done with cgi, too much blood or slowed down for effect. But it was played out in real time which made it look so real. Good effort.
It's a typical thriller action movie nothing earth shattering or innovative but it has a decent cast, decent story and it was entertaining. Worth watching once.
I enjoyed this all the way through. Solid storyline. Entertaining. I enjoyed it.
