Dream a Little Dream of Me

With being such a fan of the Matt Ryan version of John Constantine but after understanding the reasoning behind using the ancestors name for the show it was ok. The CW holds the rights to the character on "tv" which is annoying and would have been epic if the true character from the comics would have been used!

Overall the story of this episode was spot on for the comics as well but hearing Joanna talk like John just didnt hit the same cords. The Newcastle story line is great to drop in as thats never truly been seen in tv. So much of this story is emotional corruption because of the Sand, portrayed well and sets up the best part of the first arc of the comic run!

Aight episode but then again why can't they be faithful to the comics. Read the comics last night and it was epic and the feeling the character of john gives is not really given by Johanna.

For those thinking its a gender swap its really not they just freaking changed the whole character.

So far I ship Morpheus with every character he interacts with. Tom Sturridge has freaky chemistry with every actor/actress in front of him. I loved this episode more that the second but equal to the first one. Jenna Coleman rocks. I knew her from Doctor Who and her performance is not less brilliant than I remembered.

I know some people were disappointed that we didn't get John Constantine here, and admittedly I was wary when I saw that Jenna Coleman had been cast as Johanna. But she only had to utter her very first line, to have me sold.

This isn't John, but I definitely felt like it was an alternate universe's John. Johanna is a bit cleaner, a bit more put together, but she still felt like Constantine to me, at her core.

I loved the episode itself as well, and the insight into some of the perils of what was happening to the world. I'm avoiding spoilers, but I felt that the introduction of certain characters and the way they showed the side-effects of certain items was very well done.

Johanna Constantine great character, good actress. John Dee great character, great actor. Great story for this episode from a great comic. Well done. I love what you did there netflix. I'm still waiting for 24/7. I hope it will be a 10.
