Faking a Murderer

Obviously all the high ratings are friends of/or cast and the movie is boring trash. You're welcome for the time I saved you after watching the entire film...

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! Seriously was sooo good! Very original, not predictable and keeps you intrigued the whole time, and Stu and Adam were so funny! I think Quentin Tarantino would highly approve!

The first hour annoyed the hell out of me. I didn't like the two leads, thought they were immature and annoying. They just always looked so pleased with themselves.

At first I thought it was a documentary because some of the lesser characters, such as the people in the diner, were very natural and realistic. (and I don't like to read too much about a film before I watch it). But the dude who plays the private eye they hire?!?! Jeez, where did they get him from? When he turns up its obvious it's not real as his acting is so bad. Once there is the big confrontation, it improved and was quite fun, and that's what got it an extra 3 stars from me.

I suspect the glowing reviews are fake... because those accounts have only reviewed one movie, this one. And boy oh boy, this is a smug trying-to-be-screwball ride of a movie. I couldn't finish it so you may not find this review helpful, but the two main actors were so irritating I had to bail with 20 min to go. Good luck to you.

'Faking a Murderer' is a wacky little movie. I had only seen the poster before going in, so I was expecting basically a straight up horror, or at least a "found footage' style film leading up to the horror at the end. It was certainly more like the former of those, however if anything I think the correct classification for this film would be comedy. It is a very funny movie in parts.

This is about as unpredictable as films ever come. I really had no idea where they were headed with this, or even what was likely to happen next. I love that in a film. There is a decent fright or two thrown into the mix as well. One minute you're laughing, the next you're getting a heart jolt. It's a wild ride.

This is one of those films where if you don't "get it" or it simply isn't your style of humour then you're likely not going to have a good time. I think most people will though and for that reason I would recommend giving it a chance. 7/10.
