I recently watched the Greek film 🇬🇷 Entwined (2019) on Prime. The plot centers around a doctor who relocates to a remote city to start anew. He encounters a woman with a peculiar skin condition, sparking an obsession to help her. However, as he delves into her situation, it becomes clear that things are not as they seem.

Directed by Minos Nikolakakis (Ensemble), the film stars Prometheus Aleifer (The Two Faces of January), Anastasia Rafaella Konidi (Holy Boom), Kostas Laskos (Tailor), and Aleka Toumazatou (Stone Years).

The original and intriguing storyline is executed well, with authentic acting and a convincingly portrayed special effects for the skin condition. However, the relationship and sex scenes feel unrealistic, particularly considering the doctor's profession, and the latter made me uncomfortable. Unfortunately, once the film establishes its concept, it plateaus and becomes straightforward and predictable.

In conclusion, Entwined possesses initial potential, but after establishing the concept, the ending twist is predictable and unimaginative. I would give it a score of 4.5/10 but still recommend seeing it once if you're seeking something different.

I've seen better and I've seen worse. Extremely slow burn with no real surprises at all. It's a movie that is filmed nicely but plot-wise is very thin. It's part of that new wave of eco/horror movies. It might have some appeal to a Wiccan but beyond that...it is what it is.

But I did appreciate the subtly of the approach. The ending was classier than most of these eco/horror tales.

The script is shallow, one-dimensional and highly predictable. The atmosphere he tries to create from the very good photography, camera and acting is totally lost from the plot that does not exist. A yolo fairy tale
