Cuckold's Plight

Most perplexing porn genre, especially in terms of its ongoing popularity, is that of the Cuckold, with its employment of mincing semi-NonSex players supposedly enhancing the content by their humiliating presence. Kayden Kross takes a stab at this, resulting in a successful rejiggering of the format and assumptions.

What bothers me about these videos, which have a specialized fetish niche on the current scene, is the status of the viewer, clearly male. Is he supposedly identifying masochistically with the poor schlub being victimized (however so fake or preposterously) on screen, as a form of desired masochism, or is he meant to feel superior? The attempted humor of such offerings, for example the ongoing series by Sean Michaels (Evil Cuckold), Jimmy Broadway (Kinky Cuckold) or Glenn King (Mean Cuckold), is pathetic, pun intended.

Kayden Kross, the great porn stylist of today now that she has moved from acting to directing, wisely abandons the tongue-in-cheek, sniggering approach in favor of intense drama. The three vignettes in "Cuckold's Plight" begin with a two-parter titled "Coupledom" that deals with two hetero couples, united in a weird combination of fetish rituals.

First half begins dramatically with star Janice Griffith, quite striking wearing a black wig, engaged in autoerotic asphyxiation -you know, what killed Robin Williams. Fortunately she doesn't expire, but revives as a super femdom, mistreating lovely Liv Wild with the assistance of her aloof man Markus Dupree, making for a hot threesome of domination/submission.

In the sequel, Janice more or less makes amends by sort of submitting to Liv's man Oliver Davis for some solid IR content, though it is clear that Griffith is still in control throughout, even when deep-throating the Black stud impressively. And she never removes that black wig, something I was waiting for in vain.

Another Black stud is in the cast, drawn from KK's recent experience directing vignettes for Greg Lansky's popular labels like Blacked, Vixen and Tushy. He is featured, his "acting" as wooden as always, in "The Line", a rather strange version of more traditional cuckold action married to another popular and sketchy kink: hotwifing.

A snivelling type named Brock is eager to have his hotwifing fantasy fulfilled by his beautiful redheaded spouse Karla Kush, but she resists. Ultimately she gives him the go-ahead and Jason is enlisted to provide the BBC to deflower her as Brock watches intently.

This scene has considerable edge and even a dash of "meaning" in its title, as Jason repeatedly orders Brock to stay on his side of the line, an imaginary gap separating the sex partners from the voyeuristic cuckold observer. I interpreted this to have several meanings, including the usual one about stepping over the line, as well as the cliche concerning being careful what you wish for. In any event, with Karla hurling condescending epithets at Brock while she humps the big stud we have the genre's inevitable humiliation content displayed, with the question remaining whether this humiliation is in fact the source of Brock's pleasure

Remaining vignette is more in keeping with Kayden's previous work, and stars her main man Manuel Ferrara. He very convincingly protrays a highly successful restaurateur who stops at the table to interrupt a particularly extreme date-gone-wrong as lovely Evelin Stone can't get a word in edgewise as her egotistical date Kyle dominates the conversation.

After Manuel's friendly chat, the dinner ends with Evelin excusing herself and driving off with Manuel to his home, abruptly leaving Kyle in the lurch. The hothead hops in his car to pursue them, leading to his hanging outside Manuel's window watching the handsome couple make furious love inside.

Making this scene edgier is Kayden having Kyle masturbating and ejacualting outside to end the vignette, indicating how even as a pseudo-cuckold (he's merely a date from Hell, not a husband) gets off on humiliation.
