I was not impressed with the premiere show. When this trio was on the old "Ghost Hunters", there was an obvious effort to debunk. Now we see a heavy reliance on "talking to ghosts" with their alleged response to flashing lights to conclude that the ghost of so and so was present. Likewise too much emphasis is placed on EMF evidence.
The show is good enough I guess but I have a real problem when they hand the headphones to the homeowner and don't play the supposed "EVP's" for the audience..If you are getting real evidence we sure would like to hear it also
Now I used to love Ghosthunters. Jason and the team always tried to debunk the haunting first. They used their knowledge as plumbers and common sense dictated some experiences were down to outside forces not necessarily paranormal. Yet they were always helpful, humble and informative.
The new Ghost Nation is different. The guys come across as arrogant and quite rude in this season, Rather than help the person or persons experiencing activity, it's almost like they are screaming "It's al in your head"!
They don't offer any closure or help with the spirits. They almost say "Oh you'll be ok" "There's nothing here" or "It will go away". I believe they should use a Psychic or someone who is able to help the spirits rather than moving on to the next "haunting" without any piece of mind being given?
Plus its so clean and mundane. Get some humility back chaps and start helping people rather than exploiting their vulnerability!
Honestly, I had hope, and it has been only one show. But oh my, lots of problems. These guys were fun and loose (well, Steve and Tango) on Ghost Hunters, they are strangely silent here. Most of the show revolves around recaps of what happened in the previous segment, and voice overs from mainly Jason. BTW, Steve, when they give you the voice over script, read it over before recording it. Way too stilted. Better yet, stop with all the voice overs. Just talk among yourselves while en route to whatever you are going to do. And stop with all the cuts of spooky filtered photo footage.
The wrap up just seemed to happen. There was no reviewing any possible evidence. But in reality, you didn't use anything much to review, like recorders.
Just humanize this show. What they have now is mostly recaps and discombobulated episodes.

TAPS was one of the first spirit investigation shows. The problem with TAPS was that they had a very cavalier attitude toward their "spirits" and did not take full advantage of the tools available at the time. Now that they're back as "Ghost Nation", they are STILL not using all of the tools available now. Also, they continue with the same attitude (often joking) during an investigation. DUH! Don't you think the spirits catch on to that? And the questions they ask are SOOO ridiculous: "Hello?" "Are you there?" "Please knock or make a sound." REALLY??? On Kindred Spirits, Amy and Adam ask meaningful questions and use better, although sometimes simple, tools. They get better responses. The whole time I'm watching GHOST NATION I'm screaming, "Use the yes/no flashlights:", "Ask their names!", "Get more EVPs!!" This show comes across as these guys who just think it's fun to play in haunted houses and get an occasional knock on the wall. I used to like them, but they are SERIOUSLY LAME! Watch Kindred Spirits instead.
