Alana - Déesse de justice

Good movie overall, just really disappointed with the short ending and felt so anticlimactic. Many things left unexplained and that's annoying for something that's been greatly built up.

VFX was unexpected tbh. It was far far better than the gundala one. You'll understand once you saw the movie.

Now about the casting. I really really expect better casting than they did on this movie, NGL almost all of them are low tier actors lol. This probably happened because they put more money on the vfx. If we compare the casting to gundala, I'd prefer gundala more.

Here's the only good actors IMO in the movie: Pevita Pearce, reza rahardian, dimas anggara, surya saputra, the one played mateo, the one played the blind old woman, Surya saputra's crook leader.

And the rest was mediocre or even worse.

One of the better produced Indonesian movies. CGI effects were pretty well implemented, although some scenes had it better than others. Action sequences were well choreographed, with some sequences being competitive with other major Indonesian action movies (e.g. The Raid). The storyline was pretty good with even some of the plot twits are sure to have watchers taken aback. However, the pacing could be improved as it was pretty hard to follow at times, jumping from point to point. Nevertheless, it was clear the actors and producers put a lot of effort to making this a successful Indonesian movie, and the final film shows that.

First of all, this movie is good. Better execution than Gatotkaca. What makes it better? They dont rush it. The CGI is great. Pevita Pearce is nailing it, and she is in very great shape.

But, the soundtrack and fighting coreography and cinematography, and facial expression of Sri Asih remind me of Wonder Woman, every aspect of it. It is too bad that the filmmaker trying so hard ro be like DCU Wonder Woman, when actually they can provide something better than Wonder Woman with these great casts and CGI team behind this movie. But overall it is a good movie, the storyline is simple, the simple humor is good, overall it is a solid movie. Pevita Pearce is awesome.

The fighting choreography is incredible, it gave us "the Raid" kinda vibes tho it is not R-rated movie, the CGI is great, some scenes are as good as MCU/DCEU movies, but Alana's character development needs more depth, maybe we will see it in the next bumi langit movie or Sri Asih 2.

The Indonesian traditional culture (specifically Javanese) is extremely rich in this movie but somehow still feels like typical modern superheroes stories.

The humor isn't cringe, the dialogues feels natural eventho it's mixed of Indonesian standard language and jakartan's dialect. The Javanese accents spoken by the actors also sounds natural.

This movie makes me love bumilangit universe even more.

It is not a masterpiece. But it is a great movie and very enjoyable. There are still a lot of problems with this movie. But I'm just gonna say the most significant problems.

It felt rushed. The tempo is too fast. And quite jumpy. And the sound effect... they need to improve in that a lot more... other than that it's still acceptable to me...

now let's talk about the good things THE CGI!... its amazing... from gundala to this... it's a huge jump. 1 of the best CGI Indonesia has ever had.

I can't say the fight scene is great... it's ok? It looks so much smoother and well-choreographed. But gundala felt more power on those punches. IMO.

The way they shoot this movie is just fantastic, the camera work is great too. I wouldn't say I like the color tone. But I can accept it. Since almost every Indonesia movie looks like that

And of course. Reza rahardian acting here is fantastic. All of them are great. But sometimes it looks stiff... I like how jefri Nichol character here is very very religious... it's funny, great acting from Nichol.

And Mrs pevita. You are awesome here... I can't imagine any other celebrity as Sri asih. Great job.

I like how they manage to make everything connected. From gundala to Sri asih... they do it very well... yeah, overall it's a great movie. Recommended to watch it.
