Avis à la une
Neelam Productions has always delivered tremendous as well as magnanimous products to promulgate the cause and course of every corner of the society in concern with their highly remarkable quoting of Dalit politics. We saw it in their penultimate one, Pariyerum Perumal. Here, Gundu is also following the same path but in a deviated way. Gundu travels through obviously on the Dalit concept but, apart from that, it urges about the consequences of War. Yes, it can add into an anti-war product rather than a caste based one. Two World Wars and their aftermaths are talked and discussed early through many films from all over the world but here in Gundu, the director cum writer Athiyan points about the importance of peace and tranquility in our daily lives. Of course, Gundu is just a symbol for him to announce his views and ideas regarding his ideologies behind the anti-war campaign. In that way, Athiyan succeeded his journey with his debut one. A strong film to watch. #Gundu.
Stories of several lives intertwine in an unexpected manner. The film critics the manufactures of war equipments(watch Shlinder's list if you have time), they have their own incentives. If you like to think about a few things before 2020, the movie is for you. Very rarely a movie makes you to think. This is one of them.
Such wonderful movie in Tamil cinema. Mainly Spock about daily wages worker and his life. Also how them chit from his boss. The one word of this movie it's speck about worker rights and humanity.
The film touches a rarely touched area of portraying the lives of people who works in the scrap shops mingled with a heavy real hardcore content linked with the world war 2, the movie stands out just for the sake of this alone.
Otherwise, Dinesh's acting stands out clearly as usually like his other films, he's one of a gem of an actor, he just gets so mingled into the character and does the acting so flawlessly that we ended up traveling along with his journey.
Although, there are several factors like the screenplay, BGM, cinematography, humor which could've been improved and maybe this film might have done wonders at the box office stands out from the crowd.

A technically sound film which deals from local politics to world politics in a most genuine way. To be noted Tenma the music composer has done a great job, that's the backbone of the film. My salute to the producer Pa. Ranjith for predicting the potential of Adhiyan Athirai and such a delicate subject. We welcome such kind of movies in the future. A must watch. The credits dialogue says the film "ayudhatha Epomey kaila edukadha di".
