UK Haunters

UK Haunters brings to light an amazing subculture that has been a well-kept secret. I was lucky enough to see this at it's US Premiere at the Horrorhound Film Festival in September 2019, where the filmmaker was in attendance and was able to speak about the documentary beforehand. This filmmaker truly had a passion for the haunts he was documenting, and that passion comes through brilliantly in the film. This documentary was well shot, well researched, and well edited; and it had the perfect amount of humor to keep the audience entertained as well as informed.

One of the best horror film documentaries I have ever seen. Dan Brownlie takes you through a little known treat, the Haunters Community in the UK. I have a new travel destination; checking out the UK Haunts. Watch this film!

It's fantastic to see the spirit of Halloween spreading so quickly around the globe - in this case, pretty much back to the point of its origin. Regardless of the miles separating the UK and United States, it's ghoulish good fun to see how much in common we share with our haunter brothers and sisters across the pond - in the end, we're all cast from the same twisted mold!

This is a look into the ever growing haunted attraction industry in the U.K. The passion of the people involved, and the variety of events shows that there are some incredibly creative companies producing spooky events in the U.K. As someone who has been to the Broadwitch hauntfest, it was great to see some of the hard work that went into producing the event. Well done to Dan Brownlie on a job well done!

This documentary puts a spotlight on UK scare attractions by focusing on a few, but very different, experiences/events from across the country. The presentation conveys a sense of wonder and excitement as Dan Brownlie discovers this seemingly unknown world; including pieces about Broadwitch Hauntfest, Faceless Ventures, Horrify Me, Nick Hutson, Scaretrack & Andy "Cookie" Rawlings.
