Aliens: A Redenção

To me this is not just a short film it is an experience, never saw until today such a cool tribute to the aliens franchise like this. The lieutenant is our main hero and he kicks ass with a new weapon like the pulse rifle, very cool as the other one, killing aliens left and right (they are all over the place). When the action starts, you're in for the ride of your life. The post-credits scene is for the ages.

Final Grade: 8/10

This new installment in the Alien series, even as a short movie, takes us on a journey to familiar places, we´ve been before, by the time the action starts it's impossible to forget it. The special effects are remarkable, for a low budget i mean, it´s incredible what they done here, seen it already 4 times, and every time i see it, i find something new. You will be blown away by the effects and design of the sets and the great action sequences they have with the aliens. Look out for the post-credits scenes, they are so great

With Aliens as the best sci fi picture of all time, my rating for this is 9, because it really take us there again, and we see another mission with marines, and Weyland-Yutani Corp. taking over things again.

This short represents an effort to stay truthful to the Alienverse and to James Cameron's Aliens that marked an entire generation. Even with a very low budget it was possible to bring forth a solid story, good performances and a great CGI environment. A definite win!

9.7 - A really true surprise of the independent portuguese cinema, directed by Rui Constantino (fix this name, you'll hear about him in the future), which is a kind of "hommage" to the work masterpiece of James Cameron - ALIENS! In fact, it's a short film, made with scarse resources, but with a very high quality degree achieved. Point out to the level of intensity, which comes to the situation where you end up vibrating when seeing this small work, to the point of being really thrilling to watch! For that much contributes the excelent soundtrack and level of sound effects of this picture and the acting of the main actor, who becames a true "RAMBO ALIEN KILLER"! Recommended viewing!!!

There's some amazing combination of animatronics, and miniatures used in this short film from the drop ship to the amazing face huggers to the queen alien. As you watch the 36 minutes of unbelievable action in this tribute to the alien franchise, you can feel the love for the xenomorph here, the alien queen is simply amazingly done.

All in All, 10/10 an amazing journey into the alien world.
