This show will make you binge watch it until it's over. There may be some scary or triggering episodes so do keep that in mind when choosing to watch the show.
The only negative side of the series: Episode 9 has no subtitles when the French police is talking. He talks quite a lot and it would be great to know what is he saying. I tried turning on subtitles but it doesn't change a thing. There is no option to get it translated whilst watching the episode either. As episode 9 takes place in France and half of this episode includes French police members, so half the story won't be understood.

This show is excellent ! It just reels you in until you've binged the whole (and only) season so far. Sadly, as many true crime shows go, a majority of these victims are women. I feel like more people need to know how to defend themselves as well as carry some type of weapon or protection, not that anyone needs to be paranoid but in these instances, the "safety first" rule definitely applies. The impact of these atrocities is exponential. Honestly, these monsters deserve the death penalty and it just seems like that's becoming less and less of an option because of too many bleeding heart liberals. Yeah I went there. These innocent people didn't deserve the fates they met - the fates they were forced to meet and as far as I'm concerned, an eye for an eye.
While the true stories are heartbreaking they need to be told. If it helps just one person see dangers sooner it's accomplished something huge. Plus I love me some Shaun Dooley!! I could listen to him read a dictionary. I didn't realize he narrated as well as acted. Now that I fangirled over Shaun let me tell you the episode about Joanna Simpson is so heartbreaking. Her family especially her children went through so much hell. I'm American and I will say the British justice system hands out some really soft sentences for such horrendous crimes. The American justice system's broke as well there are folks in jail that do not deserve to be there. But watch this series if you like true crime because it delivers on every note PLUS SHAUN DOOLEY !!
Watching on Netflix. Heartbreaking to see those who are the 'other' victims, but it is important their voices are heard
However, episode 9 based in France and no subtitles. I'm sure the police officer is very expansive but I have no idea!

I enjoy this programme and watching the stories unfold. They are often tragic, sad and disturbing.
It's a good show, but the ridiculous poses the people are made to do ruin it. They are forced to look away from the camera and then slowly look up or gaze wistfully out of a window. It's so cringey and put on, it actually ruins the interviews and has made me laugh out loud a few times. I would give it a solid 9/10 if it wasn't for this. It's very off putting.
Also, it can be a bit repetitive when the story is being told and they recap a bit too often to pad it out.
My heart goes out to the poor families whose stories are being told.
