The Married Woman

I love all the characters especially, Astha and Peepli's husband but at the same time I was expecting more from this series. In last three episodes, I was fast forwarding the episode. So, I can reach to the end. Slow, and it doesn't need this much of episodes. But overall I loved it.

Give Suhaas Ahuja the ability to do whatever he wants, and give him a whole bunch of interesting people to mess with. You get the best show ever.

I started The Married Woman not thinking I would finish it..BUT i did, all at one stretch and the reason was the performances and unusual storyline. The layers are a cinematic brilliance.

Ridhi is one of the finest, most brilliant, subtle yet powerful actors! I am not sure her performance got it's due, but it's worthy of standing ovations for generations to come.

I have never been compelled to write to any movie review applauding them for their work, but I couldn't help but let share this.

The story is about a traditional women and her journey to self realisation. The only thing that keeps her traditional is her saree rest everything is modern about her.

It's good that we have started talking about female sexuality and lesbianism. But we are Far cry from understanding, given that the story writer and director failed to understand themselves. Story of female sexuality does not have to accompany indefidelity but sex sells.

There is an emotional aspect of the females which all so called modern directors failed to portray. May be those unnecessary intimates scens were a compensation for that. But then again what to expect from movie and TV industry which has been servicing on stereotyping female sexuality.

The background premise of riot seem to just add intensity to the plot which the original plot lacked anyways.

Almost all characters were either hindu or muslim, another stereotypical premise. If inter religion love is to be there are many other minority religions which are mostly neglected.

Anyways good first attempt but far cry from fair though. The Lead characters should have been given more screen time and they lacked horribly in character development.

Wow this show is going to hold special place in my heart I was crying bcoz of Ridhi and Monica's acting is so phenomenal I felt their pain it was so raw and real never felted like it was just an acting. Story line is so simple no unnecessary drama or plot created to make it more masala full or mainstream.Songs are soulful. But please please to the married woman team kindly make another season bcoz the ending is not the end it is was just a beginning of something beautiful. so we have to go on a another ride with astha and pipilika
