Plutão

Places and their descriptions. Men. A large aspects of eroticism. And a film about looking for sense of life, experiences, sex, all in the veils of a kind of nostalgia. Nice cinematography, feeling to discover a large puzzle.

Although Brazilian Portuguese is easier to follow than the European version, most people watching this, including me, will need subtitles. The people editing the film must know this, after all they provided subtitles for us. So why did they choose a grey-white pale font for them? Moreover for a film that's partly in black and white. These captions were impossible to read at times and were hard to follow even when colour was being used. It was incredibly annoying.

As far as the film was concerned, we were recited a list of public lavatories that local guys use to pull and make out together over a background of very good-looking men some of whom were nude. There were a couple of intermissions, the first where a couple of really hot-looking cops were getting it on and another where some leather guys (not something that rocks my boat) were performing.

As an exercise in pointlessness, this took some beating. I'm giving it three stars because of the eye candy. It would have been four were it not for the subtitles.
