Big Nate

I saw it coming on one day. I had a feeling I had watched it before but it said new. So I recorded it. Man, I love it. It is a fun, simple show. Great to watch as a final thing before going to sleep.

I love the animation. It does not look cheap. It reminds me of a show that would have been on in the 90s. Which I find interesting.

I love the characters. Each is easy to see and figure out. They are just kids. Friends, enemies. Simple stuff.

The stories are fun to watch. I get so into the episodes.

Never knew there were comics on it. I will check those out one day also.

I watch this from FIOS. I find it more fun that way. I can look forward to an episode each week.

Fantastic soundtrack, awesome writing and funny jokes. Love this show. If you like Clarence from CN and want something similar but very different at the same time, gotta check this out. The characters are hilarious each in their own way. My favorites are the dad, sister and male teacher with the glasses and pet lizard.

Favorite ep is when Nate gets stuck doing figure skating and learns from one of his classmates how to skate. The chest hair gag was really funny .

Plus, the art style is cool (lots of great texture) and different from most of the other cartoons out there. There was a cool scene with a tornado. Stands out in all the best ways.

Only gripe is that the episodes can run a bit shorter.

This show is a disrespect to the comics it based on. First, the comic-style humor of the comics are changed into cheap TV gags. Second, the stories are repetitive. Third, everyone looks so uncanny here, especially Nate himself. Lastly, the voice acting is generic. Everyone should steer clear of this Nickelodeon trash.

The Flanderization of the characters is out of control. Flanderization is named after Ned Flanders. Its when you take a multi dimensional character and reduce them to a few over exaggerated traits. Nate went from being a kid who sometimes goofed off in class to stealing his teachers dentures. It replaced the more deadpan humor of the comic strip with broad slapstick. On its own it would be a fine show but this isn't Big Nate.

Big Nate is one of the most fun animated series I've seen in years! It perfectly captures the spirit of being in sixth grade-awkward moments, big imaginations, and hilarious friendships. The show brings so much energy to every episode, with wild visuals, quick humor, and a great voice cast that really brings the characters to life.

The animation style is super bold and colorful, with a fun mix of 2D and 3D that makes it stand out from other shows. It's expressive and exaggerated in the best way, matching Nate's over-the-top personality and imagination. The humor is fast, smart, and never boring-kids can enjoy it, but there's enough clever writing for older viewers too.

The friend group is super likable, and every character brings something unique to the table. Whether they're dealing with school chaos, silly rivalries, or just trying to survive sixth grade, it's always entertaining. And of course, Nate himself is a lovable troublemaker who's full of personality, just like in the books.

If you're a fan of fun, fast-paced cartoons with heart, Big Nate is a must-watch. It's full of creativity, charm, and laugh-out-loud moments. I really hope it gets even more seasons!
