The show is about a guy who looks like the love child of Daniel Bryan and Aussie Man, but with half the personality. He puts up 5k of his own money to travel across America and Canada to see if he can buy old 80s toys to auction off for charity to hopefully make more than 5k.
The shows premise seemed interesting, but it fails to be entertaing and is focused too much on patting themselves on the back and this guy talking all the time rather than actually showing anything. After the first episode I just skipped to the last because it came across as a vanity show trying to make this guy popular while the camera guy applauds him, but comes across as having talking to the camera lessons from the acting coach of Pawn Stars. If I wanna watch fake confidence like that, I'll listen to what the hosts of Monster Jam have to say and not what these two have to say about what they think is cool and collectable and showing 2 minutes of stuff where the camera is not focused on them.
Then the eye rolling dramatic side tries to kick in to spice up the tension.... why? It's about a guy who we already know if he doesn't make his 5k back, the network studio will kick in 5k from a show im sure mustve cost them almost as much in traveling and production cost... it really fails to inspire or make you care about what these people are doing for a nearly pointless reason.... Just donate your 5k to charity already instead of taking a year to travel across the Americas looking for toys that are briefly shown for a second in between complete vanity clips of a guys hopes to be recognised at comic con for doing this show. Its also sickening to know it would cost them more than 5k to travel North America for a year, what with travel and accommodation expenses and food etc. Who do they think they're fooling here?
