Jim Brewer who performed the role of Jim-Stock Detective - Cattleman's Association had his first role in "The Alamo" with John Wayne, released in 1960. La Grange Texas is the home town of legendary rockers "ZZ Top". Filming locations also included the Warda Store, in the town of Warda, Texas. On the first day of arrival at location Michael Wayne James had a severe attack of Ceder Fervor while being introduced to his horse "Pudding", for which he had to go to emergency for treatment with the help of Jim Brewer by his side. Michael made call time the next morning....to the surprise of everyone.. Like Jim Brewer told Michael. "Your a big man like John Wayne, play it small and small and say it with your eyes". Go have fun. Walt Roberts was a professional rodeo cowboy. He is also a country western singer and performer.
