" Where your Eyes Linger " was a pretty good romance.
The pacing, for most of it, was nice, smooth and the inner dialogues just created the perfect angst atmosphere for a dramatic love story that had a huge climax in the end. They actually wrapped things up masterfully and gave the drama a satisfying conclusion that ended all loose ends.
However, towards the middle of the drama, the story was way too fast for the progress of the love story. It felt a bit chopped and rushed.
But, other than that, the performances were great and the story strong.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Sure the kiss at the end sucked but Koreans are notorious for bad on screen kissing. Ugh. Maybe I open up a school to teach those boys how to kiss? :)
The episodes were short and the series was short - they're testing the waters but they should know after The Untamed ... we don't care as long as the story is good, the ending is happy and there's plenty of eye-candy. :D

I just don't know how I feel about this. Where your eyes linger didn't do justice although both the actors performed well. Since it was romance, there hardly was any scene between them which confirms that they both loved each other. I don't know if it's just me or anyone else was annoyed when Gook protected the girl instead of Taejoo. Also the main drawback in this series was when Gook said to Taejoo that he felt good when Taejoo went to Japan for a week but minutes later he was sad that Taejoo is going to England. At least stick to what you say. It is just a one time watch, also, I was kind of irritated how Gook didn't even say that he loves Taejoo. The kiss which was supposed to bring emotion to the viewers was just like the plot - unintentional.
This was my introduction to the BL genre and not till 'I told sunset about you' did I again see two male leads be so vulnerable about the inconvenience of falling in love with your best friend. From the music, to the wit, it is such a sweet story, and in the tradition of Korean BLs, too short.
I was surprised to see a kdrama on two young men falling in love so I watched this show right away. I am touched by the emotions and raw intensity of our 2 leads. Their performance are fantastic and believable, considering the delicate topic.
Normally, I am a strong believer in spending maximum screen-time to focus on the main characters storyline with minimal distractions by subplots that don't always add to the show or complement the main story line. In this case, however, probably 90% of the time is spent on the couple and they are always together. Granted, the length of each episode being extremely short may explain this, nonetheless I still find this to be a little too condensed or concentrated for my taste. I would like to know more about each of our leads, how each of them lives, thinks and behaves with other people. I want to see their longing for each other when they aren't together. Especially I want too see and feel their frustration, hesitation and internal conflict as each person contemplates his true feeling for the other. Because of such short duration, a more organic exploration of the transition from bromance to love wasn't possible and it's a shame, in my opinion.
One aspect I thoroughly disliked is their master-servant relationship. Is it really plausible that such an arrangement exists in a school between two students, in today's world? On the positive side, I guess one can argue that the 'master' truly loves his 'servant' friend deeply because, firstly, he was the one to initiate the confession and, secondly, when his father found out about them, he 'sacrificed' himself by submitting to his father's will against his own wish.
Despite these critiques, I am thoroughly impressed by the actors and how they delivered this short but intense and genuine love story. I can't wait to see more kdramas that explore romances like this.
