Avis à la une
I loved the idea of 5 short horror stories in one movie. The first segment had no storyline and no background of the main character. I was left wanting an explanation or at least some sort of revelation. Second story was good as a concept. A bit macabre but left me thinking that it could be a deterrent against crime. Third story? C'mon. Nothing is cool or entertaining about animal cruelty. Even when they try to make the main character likable. Fourth story - crappy parenting and its consequences. Last story - again; nothing cool or entertaining about cruelty towards children. The "host" really had no place in the anthology - neither added nor subtracted from everything. If you have a spare 90 minutes - watch reruns of Scooby Doo or anything other than this.
This movie has great potential and a few noted faces but the stories are empty.
If a bigger studio saw this and gave it the Hammer treatment it COULD be easily an 8 or 9.
It irked me how nothing connected. I wanted the characters to come into the shop! They don't. Plus, seriously, these stories have no ending!
They need to get more into the consequence horror and resolve them better.

I skipped the monologue parts. I also skipped two stories because one had to do with an animal and one I didn't want to read along with. The three I watched were good though.
I made it to story 3 hoping this would get better but it just didn't so I have no idea if the rest are worth it. I love anything with horror, and as a horror fan I think these director should be ashamed of themselves to even think anyone would be entertained by these stories! I mean do they not have normal ppl watch these movies first to tell them their movie sucks or what? I will wait for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark pt 2! This was a waste of time.
In my opinion this was really nice just by looking at the cover I immediately knew I was gonna like it and I'm glad I watched it, the stories where really interesting I liked all of them and I also think this is one of the best anthology horror films.
Le saviez-vous
- AnecdotesFinal film appearance of Robert Forster, released roughly 2 years after his tragic death.
- Crédits fousNo animals were harmed in the making of this film because we'd never do that! We're all animal lovers. Plus, that cute little dog belongs to one of our producers, and she'd kick some butts if anything happened to him.
