Avis à la une
The problem here, is a writer and director who don't know what genre they want to make, or what universe they're setting it in. They start with post-Terminator, try to segway in to Ghost in the Shell or Bubblegum Crisis, with a poor attempt of a cop-buddy film and ideas ripped straight out of Surrogates, all while trying to look like bad Blade Runner clone.
There's more missed focus shots and fuzzy audio then a Nolan film, along with amateur hour framing, set dressing and CG that looks like first year film school efforts. There's brief nudity that doesn't serve any story based purpose, and more creative writing in the reviews then in the film.
It wouldn't matter if this was filled with Oscar winners, nothings' going to save this turkey from the slaughterhouse.
Poor acting, poor CGI, poor writing... I don't know anything about directing but that was likely poor as well. This was just senseless. I almost want to go back to see where I got lost, but I find that I don't care. Nothing about this followed logically from anything else, and the editor must have taken an acid trip in the middle of everything. Thank goodness it was only about 80 minutes of my life wasted. There seemed to be a hint of a plot struggling to get out, but it never seemed to be able to quite make it. And why did the sister look like two completely different actresses? The battle scenes were ridiculous, and why does the AI even care about the humans? Why would the humans be fighting among themselves? Why was this movie ever made? Why did I watch it? Just, WHY?
I mean the uprising in my stomach while watching this garbage. I share the other reviewer's puzzlement, ie how do movies this dire ever get a release? OK, I understand that some people will watch anything you put in front of them but surely there aren't enough of them to make pablum like this even remotely profitable? And if there are then I have real concerns about the future of the human race.
They tried with the FX some parts are not that bad but the acting is terrible.
I am not sure why they do those movies, because its clearly not for profit.

If this film was stripped back to its base elements and was taken down a different path I see the potential. This movie feels like someone got the not shown B plots of a different movie, deleted that movie then stretched the B plots to fit a hour twenty. The story comes full circle and by that I mean you spend that time trying to follow this and find you are back at the beginning and have gone nowhere.
