Back in the Game

Quasarman's dialog is way too clever and overwritten in this set of four similar vignettes, all about looking for love after a breakup.

I knew Tommy Pistol would be the most irritating of these overly glib characters, playing a know-it-all who keeps giving poor Maya Kendrick advice regarding her love life, before predictably she decides to give her good old friend (Tommy of course) a whirl in the sack.

No one speaks like a normal person here, as in the opening segment where Whitney Wright criticizes her boyfriend with lines like: "Are you still in love with your wife?" (divorce is pending) and "You're like a tree whose roots are in way too deep". Dialog like that made me almost which Quasar would cut to the XXX chase.

Acting is fine, especially by blonde newcomer Bella Rolland, verbally sparring as a psych major with boyfriend Seth Gamble, who suspects she's psychoanalyzing him.
