All My Friends Are Racist

The kids are alright, I found this a fantastic albeit short journey and front seat into younger First Nation Australians. The ln-your-face humour and fun cast of characters that could also be appealing to the LGBTI community as well as Australian People of Colour. We need more diverse shows like this! I thought this was a great ride and laughed out loud many times. Only thing was it was a bit short, I'd love to see more!

Problematic and Crypto-fascist portrayals of in-groups and out-groups.

A quasi-comical look at the worst of Zoomer / Millennial stereotypes with a diverse cast and the occasional great one liner help get you to the end of each episode.

The two anti-hero leads are shallow and vapid, willingly caught in an echo chamber of their own self centred perceptions. It makes them cruel and uncaring to almost everyone they come in contact with.

"All my friends are racist" refreshingly touches on a few taboos and important topics, but the characters are so clueless, most of the discussion is reduced to tired soundbites. There are moments where you think they are about to learn something real, but ultimately they learn nothing.

To make sure we know there's nothing to take seriously, the season starts and ends with the two of the metaphorically ugliest characters we've seen in some time saying "I'm so glad we're not ugly"

The show is a little silly at times.

Some parts are funny and some parts do bring attention to the new way kids think, speak and act. It goes into a little bit of the way people seem to try to hard to be their background ethnicity and also the white saviour (the mum of the main chick). Not the best Aussie comedy but it was ok and short enough to watch in one sitting. The main actress is quite good looking and I hope she does more shows.

Some other good shows would be black comedy, preppers, fisk, auntie Donna's big ole house of fun, summer heights high, angry boys.

Overall it was funny in parts and a little cringe in parts and awkward in others.

I would recommend if you want to watch something that doesn't take itself too seriously and has some funny moments.

I like the idea of this concept, but I really couldn't get behind the characters. I think there was a better way to do this that wasn't as vapid or surface level. In truth, it relies on the characters being indigenous instead of giving them actual character.

That's not the best for representation, indigenous people are multifaceted human beings, let's represent them that way, even in short form comedy.
