With Wheel continuing to thrive in local syndication, ABC decided to cash in on the success with a celebrity version, allowing celebrities to spin the wheel for their charities.
Pat Sajak and Vanna White are still the main hosts, but the format of the show itself is slightly changed by having 3 celebrities play 2 games, while the main game itself is the same.
The celebrities that played include Leslie Jones, Chandra Wilson, Drew Carey, Teri Hatcher, Chrissy Metz, Rob Riggle, Jeannie Mai, Constance Zimmer, Maria Menounos, Yvette Nicole Brown, Nicole Byer, Joel McHale, Paul Reubens, Jennie Garth, Karamo Brown, Patton Oswalt, Chris Harrison, Alfonso Ribeiro, Robert Herjavec, Rachel Leigh Cook, Sherri Shepherd, Kevin Nealon, Cheryl Burke, Jason Alexander, Andy Richter, Vanilla Ice, Caroline Rhea, Donny Osmond, Jeff Garlin, Amber Riley, Melissa Joan Hart (the first celebrity contestant to win the $1M prize), Tituss Burgess, Lacey Chabert, Loni Love, Anthony Michael Hall, Joey Fatone, Michelle Trachtenberg, Vivica A. Fox, Jodie Sweetin, Nia Vardalos, Jason Mraz, Brooke Burns, John Michael Higgins, Raven-Symone, Tori Spelling, Marcia Cross, Anthony Anderson, Haley Joel Osment, Tatyana Ali, Ali Wentworth, Laverne Cox, Amanda Seales, Snoop Dogg, Lauren Ash, Jim Jeffries, Kristen Schaal, Ron Funches, Nikki Glaser, Tig Notaro, Thomas Lennon, Phil Rosenthal, Carla Hall, Joel Madden, Jenifer Lewis, Kate Flannery, Jaime Camil, Michael Rapaport, Mary Lynn Rajskub, RuPaul, Gayle King, Julie Bowen, Sasheer Zamata, Jack Black, Kal Penn, Fortune Feimster, Janelle James, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Ken Jennings & Mayim Bialik, Melissa Villasenor, Joe Buck, Kel Mitchell, Kim Fields, Penn Jillette, Gabriel Iglesias, Danielle Pinnock, Roy Wood Jr., Tim Gunn, Lauren Lapkus, Ego Nwodim, Jeff Ross, Paula Abdul, Lil Rel Howery, Sarah Levy, Christian Siriano, Krysten Ritter, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Robin Thede, Tony Hale, Chance the Rapper, Dionne Warwick, Lil Jon, Joe Manganiello, Tiffany Haddish, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ben Schwartz, Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper, Oscar Nunez, Katharine McPhee, Josh Gad, Sam Richardson, Regina Hall, Randall Park, Ilana Glazer, Chelsea Peretti, Dulce Sloan, Jessica Capshaw and Pete Holmes, just to name some.
With Sajak now hosting for the final time this season, Ryan Seacrest will most likely take over in the following season, but at the end, no wonder why Wheel will always be America's Game, either with civilian contestants or celebrity contestants.

This show could be a real eye-opener for you. We get the full celebrity range from idiot to genius. Shout out to Teri Hatcher who is mind-blowingly adorable and also surprisingly a little kinky! The perfect woman if you ask me...
I love "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune"! I am a huge fan of "Wheel" and I have been since 1984!
This is my favorite sitcom. After watching the first episode, it was memorable.

- AnecdotesThis show features the same social distancing changes that were introduced in Season 38 of the regular nighttime syndicated Wheel of Fortune (1983). However, the grippers used to put over the pegs to spin the wheel are gold instead of white since this is a primetime show.
