A friend of mine suggested this movie. Fluxx is a stylish and thought-provoking indie thriller with a concept that really stands out. It dives into some fascinating themes and delivers a story that keeps you guessing. Visually, it's sleek and inventive, and you can feel the passion behind every frame. The performances carry weight, and there's a real atmosphere to the world they've built. Overall it delivered something original-and that's more than I can say for most movies right now. This is indie cinema with ambition and vision, made by storytellers who clearly care about their craft. Definitely worth watching.
I get the concept, but something felt off. The film was missing something-it felt like a series of sketches stuck together. Each sketch on its own was good, but when combined, something was lacking, and the connection between events felt weak. It was as if some scenes were cut or certain developments and relationships needed more explanation and time.
The movie started strong, with a strange and intriguing structure that blended fantasy in the present with realism in the past. But halfway through, it shifted into a more typical storytelling style focused only on the past, largely abandoning the fantasy element. It turned into a very average film with a conventional story, and lost its sense of suspense.
Overall, it's a nice movie with a cool concept which I had fun time watching it, but it could've been executed much better with a stronger, less clichéd story. It felt like wasted potential. It could've been one of the strongest films of the year if more care had been put into the writing and the character.

Where do I start. Well, first off. This movie is gorgeous! Especially for a low budget feature. The cinematography and lighting (especially during a trippy sci-fi sequence) was eye-popping. Even the wardrobe was on point. Then, let's talk about this odd, but interesting script. The way events that take place in the house, match up to the motives of what happened in reality was kind of genuis. A lot of it, people won't get on the first viewing (which in turn, might hurt the films reception at first). And then there's Shelley, who did a bang up job on the performance. And lastly the ending, which brought everything home nicely. Now this is original, darling filmmaking that we need more of nowadays. I'm here for it. Great job to that creative team. A+
This movie is a blast. A classic mind bending adventure like Memento or Jacob's Ladder. Fantastic writing and directing by Brendan Gabriel Murphy. In just his 2nd feature, we see a master filmmaker at work. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next!
The cast is also incredible. Some fantastic hilarious scenes between Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead) and Shelly Henning. They chemistry is electric. The cinematography, by the director's Brilliant brother, is gorgeous and the whole movie just keep you guessing. It was a non-stop thrill ride from start to finish. Honestly, what more could you want from a movie??!
A must see for everyone.

Fluxx is a fun and wild psychological thriller journey led by an amazing and nuanced performance from lead Shelley Henning, who skillfully plays multiple and very distinctly different versions of herself, and the genre bending direction of award winning director, Brendan Gabriel Murphy. Sci-fi, horror, and a slew of other beloved film genres are brilliantly rolled into one, exciting cinematic experience...paired with an incredible team, in front and behind the camera, the Fluxx family pulls off a highly enjoyable film that should definitely be watched on the big silver screen as it was intended!
