Avis à la une
I think its worth watching, only two episodes in yet, but still. Its a special style to it that corresponds well with the Agatha Christie feeling, imo. May not be for everyone, and if u expected a standard criminal show, you need to stop expecting that!
I watched this via Channel 4 in the UK in 2022, and have had a look at the current reviews, which seem to have been placed by 1) people with some vested interest in the show who give it vapid rave reviews, and 2) people who for some reason have an almost pathological hatred for the show. It's certainly not a 10-star blockbuster, but nor is it a 1-star mega-turkey. To be sure, the writers have absolutely no clue how to actually construct a bona fide mystery plot, and apparently no interest in doing so; their aim is to create quirky characters and spin a certain light, escapist mood, and there they succeed. So, yes, most of the crime plots make no sense, and the "solutions" don't hold water...but...the show is so damned entertaining! I'm going to give it a generous 7 stars, and yes, I would watch a second season.
Not the dark moody somewhat realistic Swedish crime series I'm used to and I like the change. It's stylistic in its colors and enjoyable without a lot of sex and blood. A pice of candy. The female protagonist has a weird and uninteresting relationship with her fiancé...
I honestly don't understand why people hate this show? And why is everyone cringing? This is the best Scandinavian murder show I've seen in years! I love murder mysteries and I grew up reading (and watching) Agatha Christie's work. I'm also a huge Bryan Fuller fan and this show has some of the same qualities as "Pushing Daisies". It's not really similar, but it's got something to do with the colors, the sunshine, the somewhat strange dialogue... I can't explain it. But I guess it's this vibe that makes some people compare it to a kids show. I don't see that, but I do see the quirkiness. I hope they make thousands of episodes. I could watch this every day. I love, love, love it!
Agatha Christie books, movies etc are made in a certain way. The jokes, the murders, the murderers. You can't compare this series with another crime series. It's two different worlds.
This is not a bad series, it's just not for everyone.

- AnecdotesAriadne Oliver is a fictional mystery writer created by writer Agatha Christie. Mrs Oliver, who writes stories about Sven Hjerson, appears in the short story collection Parker Pyne Investigates, six novels featuring Hercule Poirot, plus the standalone novel The Pale Horse. Mrs Oliver's relationship to her fictional detective satirically reflects that of Christie to Poirot; in that Hjerson is very popular but the writer seems to grow weary of him. From Christie's novels not much is known of Hjerson, except that he is a Finn and a vegetarian who takes ice baths. The titles of some of his cases are mentioned. This series uses the Hjerson name but has created original stories for him set in contemporary times.
