"Videovore" was originally conceived in 2017 when director Mikaela Bellamy made a videotape prop with a piece of peeled skin attached as a label, and the film was intended to be much longer with a focus on cannibalism and snuff films. The prop was later used in Bellamy's film "The Tape of Karma" instead.
