Really great season finale for a good show

I was quite surprised with how much I enjoyed this series. Jenna Ortega as the lead did a fantastic job portraying this very deadpan character. This was an awesome season finale, nearly every plotline has some sort of payoff here, every character has their moment, and the whole mystery being set up has a dark, fun and satisfying conclusion.

I predicted half of the reveal/twist at around the halfway point of the season, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since any good mystery should be at least slightly predictable. Regardless, many moments in this episode will surprise you and leave you glued to the screen for the entire runtime.

While the show as a whole wasn't perfect, it didn't need to be, and was still very enjoyable. But this finale really surprised me with how well it was done, very epic stuff, which is why I'm giving it a 10/10. Definitely the best of the season, and this show definitely deserves a season 2!

    Withstood pressure.

Although this certainly wasn't perfect, I find it's frustratingly common for season finales to crumble under the weight of their own hubris these days, so despite the series' imperfections, it's refreshing to see the creators of "Wednesday" were wise enough to never bite off more than they could chew here (in regards to their storytelling) in a single season. Thus, considering the vast majority of plot threads are neatly (& satisfyingly) tied up in an impressively constructed bow, it feels like a really rewarding installment to end on, lightly sewing the seeds for a potential second season whilst not relying too heavily on the existence of one to validate the first's conclusion; most questions are answered, character's emotional arcs reach a decent denouement & the majority of remaining ambiguities are addressed - yet enough potential remains unearthed to justify further additions (providing expansion), should Netflix wish to capitalise on this show's apparent successes.

Plus, the extremely high production values seriously do show throughout, with the sheer quality of the craftsmanship arguably paying off especially in "A Murder of Woes" than in any previous outing, boasting a plethora of skilfully realised set-pieces (housed within production designer Mark Scruton's masterfully inspired interiors) which are inventively captured by the wonderfully talented cinematographer Stephan Pehrsson & director James Marshall. The team work collectively together in order to retain that distinctively gothic, quirky style Tim Burton established, whilst also bringing their own ideas & individualistic contributions to each & every scene until they enhance them further & it's a joy to witness, truly.

Therefore, despite the few irks I had, I'm willing to overlook them because in the grand scheme of things, the pros outweigh the cons & it's lovely to see something of such high standard recieve the attention it rightly deserves. Definitely recommend.

Amazing finale and wrapped things up well

The show finale was action packed and was the most intense episode in the whole show they do a good job to keep you guessing until the bad guys are finally revealed. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the way the conflict was introduced for the next season and thing they could've made the hint for the stalker a bit better but the episode was amazing it wrapped everything up and contained a lot of well written scenes and the corny jokes were less on this. Overall the show was amazing and I am excited for a new season and would like to see everyone reprise their roles. Amazing show that u should watch now and can't wait for the new season.

Excellent ep 1-7. But.. finale was a crash site!

Let me be clear, I loved the series. Best from Netflix in a while. Some great writing, suspense build up for the finale was edge of the seat stuff. The quirky and witty lines for Jenna Ortega were delivered with great timing. Her portrayal of a lead protagonist will be hard to top. Also every member of star cast performed their respective roles to the best of their abilities. I especially loved the energetic Enid.

However after all the good stuff up until episode 7, the final episode was an utter disappointment. I felt it was rushed, filled with clichés, forced lines and what not. It was as if the director was changed for the last episode? Could be the pressure to set up a good finale got to the team.

Anyways I will be waiting for the season 2 because overall Wednesday has earned my respect!

The Wonderful World of Wednesday Adams...

A revengeful resurrectionist is found out and revealed, as they conjure, scheme and sacrifice to re-open long dead seals, and everything that was wrong then, and is certainly wrong today, takes form of flesh to persecute, if you present in different ways. But Wednesday Adams has a plan and help beyond the grave, to resist the clock reverting back and putting folk in graves, with friends she never thought she had or needed if we're honest, the crimes of Jericho are all solved, just as the lady promised.

A spectacular season finale that has seen some great performances throughout but none quite matching that of Jenna Ortega who was made for the role of Wednesday Adams and carries it off with perfection.
