Wistful wit for the entire family... yes, even yours!

More than a pleasant surprise, this film debuted this Spring at the recent Indian Film Fest at the Arclight. '7 Days...' possesses a selfless charm, thankfully, without too much cheese - yet it's also sprinkled with just enough adult wit (minus any smug sidebars) to keep the adults in their seats and fully engaged. The mere fact that young Indian actors carry the film will no doubt earn some obligatory comparisons to a Slumdog or two... though it should earn it's own "million" for the youthful passion it conveys for film making in a way more akin to the love of soccer, and the originality within "Bend It Like Beckham", than the love of money and predictability of theatrically staged game shows.

Hilarious but thoughtful

Making you laugh and think all the same time, "7 days in slow motion" is a must-see for all Indian families and independent film-lovers.

Taking a commonplace but seldom addressed topic of academic pressure on kids in middle-class India, the film presents an extremely thoughtful and nuanced portrayal of the issues.

Strong acting by Rajeshwari and the lead child actors, especially the kids who plays Onka, add to a powerful bag of goods.

Music is much better than recently seen out of Bollywood and 2 of the songs, one by Kunal Ganjawala and the other by Kailash Kher, are haunting and will have staying power.
