Every cliche with Christian movies is here: overtly preachy, poor production value(Flywheel honestly looks better in my opinion!), non-believer believes by the end, failing Christian wins his goal, etc.
I must admit that the movie had some touching moments, and otherwise I cringed at the low quality. I couldn't help but think: "I would rather see Silence or The Passion of the Christ or a Kendrick Brothers movie rather than this!"
Otherwise, I enjoyed the story and its message that we are defined by God's image, not by anything else. That's why it's a 9/10 and not a low grade. It's very flawed, but at least this wasn't a bland faith based movie like Full of Grace.
I wouldn't say this is a must see, but it is a movie I simply recommend. I got it for $5 at the Faith Christian Store in Flint, MI and honestly that was what it was worth. If I paid more, I would have felt more ripped off.
Would I see it again? Sure, but most likely while I am cooking dinner or something like that. I watched this with a church friend and I admitted that I enjoyed it but didn't "love" it. She seemed to like it more but we both agreed it had a great message.
And that is where the movie's heart is. If you like Kendrick Brother movies like Flywheel or Fireproof, this movie will fit your bill. But the experience feels kind of empty in comparison.
