Avis à la une
I've seen lots of movies in my 56 years, but I have never seen one this awful. I barely made it past the opening credits. I have zero artistic talent of any kind, so I've never before said "I could have done better," when it comes to a movie. Unfortunately, this one actually made me say that out loud. The acting? There isn't any. It's just some amateurs wandering around making inane conversation. The writing? There isn't any. I'm convinced they just made it up as they went, and it wouldn't have mattered because the sound mixing is so bad you can't make out any of the "dialogue" anyway. The special effects? Well, that's pure Spirit Halloween store on a very low budget. Save yourself! I cannot imagine how this movie was even made, let alone released.
I appreciate that not everyone can be an Oscar worthy Director/Producer/Actor, and i have, in my time seen some very good low budget films, however, this is not one of those.
The introduction is cliché ridden, and a tired trope. Then the classic 'One Year Later' thing. Just give it a miss, please.
The acting is, well sub standard at very best, completely hopeless at worst. The script doesn't help though, it has to be said, and the Direction is amateur. It's just all way too over the top. The camera work leaves much to be desired too, at times i get the feeling they're trying to be arty and clever with it, but it never works. The best shots are drone shots, and that says it all.
Unless you were involved in this film in some way, i would advise people to avoid this. It's unfortunately just not good. The best thing about it is the scenery.

I recently watched Wolf Hollow (2023) on Prime. The storyline follows a young team of filmmakers traveling across Pennsylvania, excited to make their next film. Their ideal spot turns into a nightmare when they're attacked by werewolves, with locals divided between helping and harming them.
Directed by Mark Cantu (Average Joe), the film stars Felissa Rose (Summer Camp), Lynn Towry (Shivers), Hannah Fierman (V/H/S), August Kyss (Murdercise), and Angel Nichole Bradford (Desperate Souls).
While the movie is as cliche and straightforward as a horror film can be, it's intriguing to see some horror legends in the cast. Felissa Rose's portrayal as a backwoods country hillbilly might not have been a perfect fit. The dialogue and acting are average, with Lynn Towry standing out as appropriately annoying and a fun character to hope for her demise. The horror elements, including werewolf costumes and attack scenes, are passable, but some scenes could have been better. The film relies on overhead shots during werewolf attacks, limiting visibility. The ending has a few worthwhile kills but is predictable and cliché.
In conclusion, Wolf Hollow is a below-average addition to the horror genre, primarily appealing to diehard horror fans only. I'd give this a 4/10 and recommend skipping it.

I was initially lured in to watch the 2023 movie "Wolf Hollow" as it was a werewolf movie that I had already seen. And the movie's cover definitely did a fair job in making me stop up and pick up the movie. Without ever having heard about director Mark Cantu's 2023 movie, I didn't know what I was in for, aside from it being a werewolf movie, which essentially was all I needed to watch it.
Writers Mark Cantu and Brian Ceponis put together a script and storyline that wasn't particularly impressive. The movie starts out okay, but quickly settles into a slump from which the narrative never really recovers. And the movie advances at a sluggish pace, without much excitement or thrills.
The acting performances in the movie were fairly rigid for the most parts. There were some pretty awful performances, but also some fair enough among the actors and actresses. I've seen enough low budget horror movies to be familiar with Felissa Rose, whom happened to be the only familiar face on the screen.
The special effects in the movie were actually good, taking the rest of the movie into consideration. And truth be told, the special effects do actually carry the movie a long way. The werewolves, though, well they were inarticulate and looked nothing more than what they actually were; and that was Halloween latex masks. That just doesn't cut it, the werewolves should be able to close their mouths, which they couldn't do in this movie.
If you are a diehard fan of werewolf movies, then check out "Wolf Hollow". I do like werewolf movies, but the majority of them are subpar movies, and "Wolf Hollow" fell into that category for me.
My rating of director Mark Cantu's 2023 movie "Wolf Hollow" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.

I have seen a lot of movies that are way worse than this one. It's not nearly as bad as some of the reviews I've read. The acting is not that bad for a low budget horror film actually some of the actors were pretty decent and really none were terrible by no means. The makeup was definitely better than some other films I have watched. It's by no means Oscar worthy but it does have some interesting characters and some comical moments which are pretty funny so if you are looking for something to kill some time and are not to critical it is actually worth watching. I gave it four stars I thought it deserved that much.

- GaffesA character calls 911 from the RV saying only that someone is dead and they need help. The dispatcher calls a police vehicle and reports shots fired, but would have no way of knowing that.
