The Haunting of Lanquetot

Firstly will say the Cinematography was fairly decent (slight overuse of drone shots and maybe some scenes could have been lit different).

Also unlike most low budget bad films atleast the sound was okay too. And the setting and location became a character in of itself.

While this movie was suppose to be a comedy much of that came from terrible acting and writing. It was not like Shaun of the Dead where jokes were handled well or the editing was done cleverly.

I'm not laughing with the film - I'm laughing at it. While comedy horror can be a great genre this was executed poorly.

And it's a shame as there were resources there in terms of equipment and location to do something. But the last laugh was the bill spent probably making this that wouldn't be ever paid as it's now free on YouTube.

Anyway if you need a cheap laugh this is it.

This movie is a complete waste of time. From the horrible script to the amateur acting, it was all I could do to sit through the first 30 minutes. The acting is beyond terrible with performances worse than those in a high school play, which I might add would probably be better than the amateur class of actors in this piece of garbage. Because of the over-the-top fake performances by the so-called actors, I had to call it quits after 30 minutes because I couldn't stand listening to it any longer. I was pulling my hair out. How does a movie like this even get made? This movie has no redeeming qualities. The special effects were obviously done on a computer and don't look real at all. This movie is so bad that it's laughable. It's a film that tries to be serious, but all you can do is laugh because it's so bad. This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Do not waste your time unless you want to riff it in the spirit of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
