The Boss

I didn't even knew about this series but saw a somewhat high rating and gave it a try.

Honestly the production quality is superb, everything looks good, feels properly placed, the colors, camera angle and placement, music, etc.

I thought it was a bit slow at the start but decided to watch a second episode to see if the script was on par... that same day ended up watching 2 whole seasons, just keeps getting better.

It's also not very predictable, wich is a big deal since i watched too much of these series to often predict the outcome, i was thankfully mistaken on many occasions.

I won't go into details to keep the review spoiler free but if you're into suspense, manipulation and fake morals give it a try.

Guillermo Francella is an excellent actor both as a comedian and in drama. He has done other works such as "The secret in her eyes", along with Ricardo Darín, which is a drama about a dark period in the Argentinian political and social turmoil in the 70s and 80s. Also the very enjoyable "My masterpiece" along with Luis Brandoni, and many more works.

This story describes a very narcissistic man and, in my opinion, a classic psychopath. He is absolutely wicked. Everything he does is for his own benefit.

At the same time, we get to know the residents of the building. Some are very bad, but none reach the level of wickedness of this character. It is very funny and also a great study of personalities done in a very pleasant and entertaining way.

Is a charming and heartwarming series that captivates viewers with its simple yet touching narrative and charismatic characters. The cast delivers outstanding performances, breathing life into everyday stories with authenticity and deep emotion. The direction is skillful, balancing light humor with poignant drama, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that draws you in. The carefully chosen soundtrack enhances the setting, making each episode a delightful and memorable experience. This series beautifully reminds us of the value of small moments and genuine human connections, leaving a lasting impression on its audience.

This is the best show from South-America I've come across. It's a dark comedy with decent script and acting. It's not like other comedies from there, it's not insane and over the top - it's actually pretty sophisticated.

There were some moments when the characters acted in a way that was unbelievable but other than that there's not much to criticize. The ending was a bit weird, I mean the amount of money they were willing to spend for...but I don't wanna spoil anything.

Over all a good series. Even the music was fitting and the sounds were balanced. I sure hope they'll get to make season 2 for this.

I was expecting quality stuff, but not at this level. It literally surpassed all (my) expectations:

I've enjoyed Only Murders in the Building but never got super addicted to it. With this one, instead, I couldn't stop watching. Guillermo Franchella is an outstanding actor. He was part of the cast of the Oscar-winning The Secret in Their Eyes. The director makes an incredible job with not only the shooting but also with keeping the pace of every episode. The constant mini-ost helps a lot in this regard, engaging every thought, look, action, and drama...it´s just gold.

Do yourself a favor and watch this. It's worth it.
