The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart

The culmination of twenty years of quintessential character development, standard setting writing, and visual storytelling at its finest. Thank you Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick. Y'all have created a work of art that encapsulates the best and worse of humanity. From innocence & failure to the growth that comes with acceptance, The Venture bros. Is now the bar for serialized storytelling. From ingenious & palpable dialogue that captures the deep rooted insecurities and their associated overcompensation's to the mesmerizing backstories for even the most unsuspecting of background characters, The Venture Bros. Has managed to perfect storytelling as an art. Please do yourself a favor and watch this full series and tie up film. You won't regret it. Thanks again for the 20 years of eating for the next part of the story, for once it was actually worth it!

Such a criminally under the radar show, it's so niche and unusual, and lasted through my child, teenage and now full adult years. I believe it's one of the last traditionally animated shows, it's only gotten better over time and this is no exception. It picks right up where it left off, the voice acting as always is on point and it solves as many questions as it asks, leaving me hopeful it can be picked up somewhere else. One of the all time great animated shows just waiting to go viral.

If you've never seen the Venture Bros, I highly recommend you start. The earliest season is a bit rough with the animation and it hasn't found it's footing, but still hilarious and sets up storylines that are still evolving. There are always 2 venture bros, is this a universal constant? What other secrets are lurking in Jonas venture's checkered past? What's next? Hopefully something, it's a nostalgia riddled modern show filled with topical references based on a love of 60's cartoons and pop culture.

I truly appreciate the love and dedication the whole team has put into this show over the years. The quality of animation, writing, story and character development got better with each season - and this finale was a decent way to say goodbye.

The quality of animation was top notch for this series, and the story was entertaining with only a few boring spots while transitioning through multiple plot lines. In other areas the plot felt rushed, but it's kinda expected since they didn't have a season or half-season to really expand it.

Overall its an enjoyable watch with a few lol moments, chuckle-worthy one liners, and a dash of Easter eggs and old school pop culture references.

This was bitter sweet, but such an amazing movie! Doc and Jackson never fail to entertain! It ends where it all began. They answered some big questions but left enough room for future projects. I laughed so hard many times throughout the movie. The Monarch and Gary together always get themselves into situations that never turn out quite like they expected. Their antics are hilarious. We also get to see more of the Triad. It's a shame they couldn't have done a whole season, but they managed to make an awesome movie. Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart wraps up the cliffhangers and answers the bigger questions but left me feeling like the characters didn't get to the end of their rainbows. There's a throwaway spiel about family at the end and I suppose that was meant to tie it all together It just seems like a cop-out. All in all, it felt like the last episode of season 7 with a couple series finale answers thrown in. It was a good episode of The Venture Brothers. Not one of the best but good enough.

Don't get me wrong, I am grateful to have some closure and the world is better with this closing chapter. Without it, it would have been the greatest TV travesty since My Name Is Earl.
