Finding Andrea

I love how this documentary was done. I became very invested in the story and in her. After the first episode I was hooked, constantly thinking about her and couldn't wait for the next episode and the next.

You can tell that the people who put this together cared about Andrea and her story. They provided a lot of content and detailed information leading up to her disappearance and all the angles of what may have caused her disappearance to happen.

Her family (sister and father) carry a lot of guilt but the love they have for Andrea is deeply felt. Her father has an unwavering hope to find her. Her friends love and care greatly for her and have done so much to try and find answers. Andrea is an amazing person. I hope that they all find some peace and happiness in the loving memories that they carry with them of her everyday ❤

Not the greatest true crime documentary, but still interesting. The Family is frustrating for their shielded, close-to-best level of involvement. Friends are more concerned and knew Andrea better than her father & sisters. Family placing protecting "what's left of the family" over solving the case. The retired Detective Joe is the only hope to possibly solving the cold case with his unbiased re-examination of the evidence.

The cast of supporting characters includes a circle of quirky, gritty former drug addicts and members of a part-time amateur missing persons search group. Was Andrea the perky girl next door or a woman struggling with addiction and spiraling down the rabbit hole of shady dealers and a cartel?

Very desperate attempt by a second rate corporation (but still a corporation) to get eyeballs for their precious streaming platform. Because that which will built them is a dying thing, so yeah, they put something in building up their streaming platform. True crime is a popular category, & Paramount is desperate to survive by the only route left, so someone got paid for 'producing' this 'content'. It's deceitful. So deceitful that it makes me sad for society. People think they can put out such trash because they think you're stupid. Much like the parent corporation's attempts at 'news' (you know, their jobs depend on it but it's a dying network & a dying source of news, so they have no conscience about the division they help create, so long as it gets some viewers & they continue to draw that comfy salary). Please stop dividing these kids just because you cannot stand the idea of them not letting the past taint everything they see in life.

But, no, seriously, I can't wrap my head around the producers of this getting paid by Paramount. Looking for a good crime doc? THIS AIN'T IT.

There is an "interviewer" in a mask shown in the starting scenes who is clearly in the wrong job and lacks the proper skill sets to be interviewing people. Asks pointless questions and no understanding of appropriate or tactful human interaction. This continues in other scenes. Overall I found the story to not follow a logical order or leave a meaningful impression on an audience. I had to turn it off, it's just hard to watch and that's not because of the nature of the documentary. It's disappointing that we cannot get better coverage for missing persons, murders, and other major crimes, and this one just missed its chance to be impactful.

I knew nothing about this case until I watched this. Slow and steady narrating, just wish the producers had asked the family more follow up question - and tied up loose ends. I definitely have more questions, which led me to the various social media groups dedicated to Andrea's case. Be cautious of the groups fun by the family...

What is clear is that Andrea's story desperately needed to be told. Sadly, no thanks to Andrea's family (specifically her sisters and mother), her story doesn't have an ending just yet. Many thanks to the people behind the documentary - hopeful this will put much needed pressure on the Louisville Police Department to solve this case.

A follow up episode or two is needed!
