Avis à la une
Kavya Ganesan and Ani Banerjee are on the verge of separation after 12 years into their marriage. Both are having affair with Vikram and Nora, respectively. Vikram is a photographer and Nora is an aspiring actress, both love their respective partners for who they are while Kavya and Ani resort to their pretend selves in their marriage. Just when they are finally planning to tell each other about ending the marriage, sparks fly enough to let them rekindle their love story. What happens when Kavya and Ani want to give themselves another chance while Vikram and Nora get restless waiting, forms rest of the story.
Sendhil as Vikram and Ileana as Nora are good but they are pushed to play second fiddle as the film truly belongs to Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi as they bring Kavya and Ani alive on screen. It is a complex story dealing with complex emotions and since I have not seen the original, I truly enjoyed the narrative getting driven by the conversations alone between Kavya and Ani. Those innuendos, the flirting and to keep the treatment as casual as possible is what worked the best for this film. However, bollywood's desperation for happy ending to be the only acceptable resolution, undid the efforts of the charming duo. It truly could have ended up as a superb film rather than a film with few superb moments. I hope the writers had put the same faith on their screenplay which they put on their lead pair.

Attention all rom-com aficionados! "Do Aur Do Pyaar" emerges as the quintessential choice for your next movie night extravaganza. Under Shirsha Guha's adept direction, the film unfolds with precision, capturing the essence of love and laughter effortlessly. Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi weave an enchanting tapestry of emotions, their on-screen chemistry igniting sparks that dance across the screen, leaving audiences spellbound. Amidst the backdrop of a relatable storyline, viewers find themselves nodding in agreement, drawn into a world where love's complexities and joys intersect. As the narrative unfolds, each scene resonates with authenticity, reflecting the intricacies of modern-day relationships with poignancy and charm. And let's not forget the soundtrack, a melodic symphony that serves as the perfect accompaniment to this cinematic delight. Trust me, embarking on this cinematic journey is an experience you won't soon forget-a heartfelt tale that leaves a lasting imprint on the soul.
I am 22 and I have never been in any kind of relationship ever but I don't why but it felt so good watching this movie. Seeing two persons who got so entangled in their life that they forgot how good it was being together. But when they slowly get that time back re living those moments it really brings a smile it really does I hope I can live such moments with my partner and about the ending where they still go to different routes I am a bit conflicted on how to feel of this but I am glad they didn't took a safe ending and left it to the audience to interpret it
Overall a really good watch in our daily busy life
FAVORITE CHARACTER :: PRATEEK GANDHI (BOTH ACTORS NAILED IT) FAVORITE MOMENT :: EATING NOODLES LIKE THEY USED TO.

Interwoven complex mature relationships, this category of movies has a separate fan base & I am not one of them. So as far as my viewing prowess goes, Arth (1982) by Mahesh Bhatt was one of the first of its kind followed by Astitva (2000) by Mahesh Manjrekar but both these were pretty serious movies, but the recent ones are served with a dash of humour (Remember De De Pyar De - 2019) and for this who better than Vidya Balan. She was amazing in the movie & thanks to the team for rendering the classic - Bin tere sanam on some of the grooviest dance steps by Vidya Balan & Pratik Gandhi. Both Pratik Gandhi & Vidya Balan have made this average storyline work just because of their performances. Unexpectedly but on a good note the music and the songs were equally good. Ileana too shines in a short cameo. Would have really worked well for the production house if it was only an OTT release. This is a type of movie which will be mostly enjoyed by couples in their late 30's to early 40's & going through a bit of a turmoil in their existing marriage. An excellent weekend watch with your partner over a cup of cold coffee.
*** Do Aur Do Pyaar Hindi Movie Review ***
Directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta starring Vidya Balan Pratik Gandhi in lead roles. Also starring Ileana D'Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
A story of an estranged couple's love story - A story must be told in today's time but a weak screenplay thereby detaching from the movie.
A story of a couple who had been married for 12 years had lost touch in their relationship. The movie takes us through the journey of Anirudh & Kavya, their estranged relationship and their extra marital relationship and the movie in the 1st half shows this both phases. At the interval we could see how things goes changing which leads us to the second half of the movie.
The second half shows us their attempt to restart in relationship, detachment from their external love but the screenplay in many areas falls nose dive as after a certain point it's becoming a slow paced & viewers get detached keeping aside the little fun moments.
Performance wise Pratik Gandhi & Vidya Balan gave their best performances. Illeana also done a decent job. Sendhil was a mis-cast.
Songs were blending with the situation.
Overall a topic which had been discussed well but with a better screenplay in 2nd half could have been much more watchable.
