Avis à la une
I really enjoyed this series. Brought back a lot of memories of the anime - stayed true to its themes, plots and characters but at the same time brought it to life. Well done to all the actors and directors.
A very fun show have pretty good action and visuals
The atmosphere is very pleasant and faithful to the anime
The cast is not well picked in my opinion and here is why
John sho as spike is good even if the anime character was not asian, he brings a good comedy touch though Spike was actually more naughty and dark with a deep melancholy
Daniela pineda doesn't look or move like Faye but she does an incredible job besides she's gorgeous as hell.
Jet is a perfect cast.
Vicious is not a crazy mad man they got it so wrong he is very calm and composed.

Loved the Anime series, but I guess I am not one of those people that have to sit and compare anime to this live action. Watching this live action with no bias, just seeing it as a first timer of the lore was imply a great story with cool cinematic elements. The relationship with Spike and Jet is endearing and has a great comedic energy. Throw in Faye and its even more of an "Odd" ball trio. I love how they made the bebop as the fourth main character.
Great dialogue-back and forth, Enjoyable action. For the people calling in woke, I don't see it. Its just reflecting more modern times since the original was made a long time ago.
Overall a great fun stylistic show with great comedic moments and some badassery.

I have watched none of the list of previous Bebop shows before just now finishing the ten episodes of season one. There is a lot I liked about binging this show. I found it clever, compelling, witty. I got into the characters and thought the acting was very good. It's a masup of so many things it's hard to believe how well it was written, edited and came out amazing. From James Bond to westerns to The Mod Squad to
Star Wars there was a very creative nostalyand then add crime noir, Gangsters, Mike Hammer, 1920s flappers, jazz, it was all slick, fun and fairly unpredictable.
I'm very picky about TV and actually watch very little of it. But a kept cruising past this Netflix show because I don't like anime. I'm very glad I watched a trailer and gave episode one a go. I hope a second season is in production.

Dunno if me and the other reviewer were watching the same short, but as a lifelong Cowboy Bebop fan I thought it was fantastic.
I mean sure, John Cho looks a little too old to play Spike Spiegel, but he nails the spirit completely. I get that the producers want to portray the Bebop crew as seasoned, worn down bounty hunters, and why not? It works, and this doesn't have to be the beginning of their tale like the anime, why can't they be careworn and slightly haggard? Life ain't easy, and takes its toll, so the threadbare styling works. Imagine Star Wars if everything was sparkly and new, it wouldn't be half as effective!
The whole thing premiers in a couple of hours, and I'm cranked up to eleven with anticipation.
If it's as good as this little taster, with the music, the humour, and the chop-sockey ultraviolence, who cares if Spike ain't a twentysomething!
And who doesn't want to see the Bebop, Swordfish, Hammerhead, and The Red tail for real...?!
