Avis à la une
Was very surprised I actually enjoyed this, I vaguely remember watching the first Binge and finding it super predictable and immature and not in a fun way. The sequel finds its stride in combining with Christmas and also using more of an ensemble cast of varying ages/personalities (the first was teen boys I believe which has been done over and over and over, think Superbad but D list version).
The second the mom's bf walks out speaking in a Glenn from Superstore-esque voice and the main character is like "who the f is this?" I was pleasantly surprised by numerous moments that caught me off guard as truly funny.
There were several out-loud laughs, some fun talent added to the cast including a whiny Kaitlin Olson from It's Always Sunny, a raucous Santa Claus played by Nick Swardson (Grandma's Boy), Tim Meadows from old school SNL, Eduardo Franco from Stranger Things, Danny Trejo (from everything), and more. The voiceover guy sounds like Morgan Freeman but isn't, which is also a random comedic touch. Several nostalgic throwback references to holiday movies and classic comedies to add to the fun.
Of course, this isn't some milestone comedic masterpiece, but most people watching it just want something silly to put on during a holiday party or just getting stoned with some friends, go ahead. You might actually laugh for once.

Was honestly surprised how much I was laughing. This is going to be one I'm coming back to every year. From the insane grandma on coke to the killer owl, it is a wild journey that has laughs from start to finish. Definitely a winner. I literally had no idea how funny Danny Trejo is. The bouncing back from color to black and white was kind of awesome and something I wasn't expecting and anytime there is stop motion Im in. The entire Freaky Friday bit was hilarious and when it came back at the end I lost it.
Overall this is a fun ride that can only be enhanced by imbibing and binging things while viewing.

Is it even possible to dislike a Christmas movie full of actors I love that is meant to be watched while on drugs? Yes. Yes, it is very possible. I enjoyed the first film for what it was and spent many late nights watching it laughing. It's A Wonderful Binge however just wasn't enjoyable. I know when the filmmakers wanted me to laugh, but the laughs never came unfortunately. I chuckled a few times here and there, but I found myself checking the amount of time left until it was over more than once. I'm sure that some people will enjoy this movie but for me this is on par with Caddyshack 2 when compared to the original.
There's a fine line between stoner comedy and comedy that only makes sense after dining on the electric lettuce. I get that's kinda the point of the whole movie but fell a few yards shy of the mark.
As most movies with him do, it is made quite a bit better with Danny Trejo in the role of the angel named Angel. Not the worst idea to bail after he exits.
Even then, some of the jokes just don't land. I'm pretty sure drugs were unfamiliar subject matter for at least one writer. The phrase Suck It Down Pipe is not one you can lean a franchise on.
Your best bet is to chuckle at it while your edibles hit & move on.

Save yourself 1hr 38mins & skip this one.
The is the worst Christmas movie i have ever seen, in-fact its one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
The acting is awful & it has actors I usually think are great!
The story is so weak and poorly scripted & the comedy simply fails to deliver as its so forced. There is even awkward pauses after scripted jokes, i guess to allow the level of audience they are aiming to time to let the joke soak in.
I have watched 1000s of movies & some are good and some are bad. This jumps into my top tem worst films I have ever had to sit through. Its boring to the max.
If you want a entertaining funny drug movie watch Cheech & Chong and leave this movie in the trash where it deserves to be.
