Avis à la une
Again no evidence
Loved the show up to last series. Problem is in this episode their yet again is no actual solid evidence that a jury could use to convict. Having watched some proper detective shows recently DIP which used to have great characters and be great fun is now lacking everywhere. Only the commissioner makes it worthwhile.
Not
This show has been boring for the last several episodes. The main characters can act, but the writing is not very good. Murder mysteries should be suspenseful or try to keep the audience guessing. It hasn't been believable since the last season or two.
The commissioner has been portrayed for a long time as one dimensional. He doesn't like the detective and that's all we see or hear when the two of them interact. It's supposed to be funny but it comes off all wrong.
I'm very tired of them trying to cast American characters with actors who can't pull off an American accent. If you want an American accent cast an American actor.

A fantastic episode.
A skydiver is killed in bizarre circumstances, and DS Cassell has a big decision to make.
There has definitely been a switch up, the tone is altogether different, no silliness here at all, this was quite series, but excellent, for me this was the best episode of the series so far. The mystery itself was a cracker, but all of the strands were interesting.
The idea of Buddy Base was a good one, it seems an eternity since we last had a new social media platform, the main ones have dominated for so long.
Josephine Jobert has been hard to avoid in recent times, she's been everywhere, and for good reason, there seems an almost inevitability about her moving on. I thought the scenes between Florence and The Commissioner were wonderful, great that the show has a rich history to draw on. I like that there's a stoeh arc running through.
Nice to see William Gaminara, such a good actor. Ben Starr was excellent also.
I can't help but feel that the writer was having a bit of a pop at Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of the new platform was definitely a bit strange.
Some real depth here, this was a cracker, 9/10.

An entertaining hour
Yet again, this series has produced an nice, entertaining hour. Without divulging anything as a spoiler, I imagine most of those watching it will guess "whodunnit" as I did, (and how it was done, but not the why) well before Nevil does.
I've literally slept through every episode of this series
It used to be ok. This series I've not seen a single episode to the end as I've fallen asleep every time. Not a lot happens and it's not gripping at all.
Le saviez-vous
- AnecdotesFlorence was going to work undercover as a nanny for someone named Miranda Priestley. That's the name of Meryl Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada.
- GaffesWhen Florence arrives in Jamaica, The cab driver loads her luggage into the boot/truck and closes it. The Licence plate is a modified French plate with JA and the Jamaica flag on the left. Jamaica use license plates similar size to the USA and also use right hand drive cars. The Cab driver preceded to get into the car on the left.
