Requited

This was far better than I thought it would be. I was expecting some weepy, sentimental tosh but the short had a good and varied storyline in three environments.

We start with Nicholas and his boyfriend in bed chatting. This will be a last weekend for them as the latter is leaving on a jet plane. This was the only jarring note in the film. He's leaving Nicholas but objects to him going to Aaron's wedding. That doesn't ring true in terms of Nicholas feeling guilt about his attendance.

But who wouldn't have a hang-up about hunky, handsome Aaron? He's always batted for the straight side so there'd never be a positive outcome for Nicholas. Seeing him would just reinforce that. Nicholas needs to get that out of his psyche and restart his life in the real world.

The ending of the film was apt. Nicholas will have to make a new start one way or another.

I enjoyed this twenty minutes.

Obvious, it is a not a great film. Maybe, far to be a good one. But it is charming for atmosphere, the fist of cliches and, no doubts, for. Chris damon. A simple love story, a wedding and, before, a conversation about past, two men laying in bad, a friend and her confession and the nice end. A simple film like a delicate flavor of old perfume.
