    Dull Slow Burning Melodrama

    This film is so utterly boring, soporific and so ponderously slow that you will have the intense desire to speed up the running speed. Nothing, and I mean nothing, happens in this movie, other than at the end and even then it is so totally unjustifiable as to be meaningless! The only redemption at this point is that this farcical drama is finally over! The most interesting feature of the entire movie - and in fact the star of the movie - is the spider that can be seen from time to time in the corner of a room, or crawling up the wall. It makes a welcome break form the boredom and livens up the action!

    OK drama, great performances

    A strange film that seems to take a turn into a different genre at the end. It starts off as a solid drama and becomes what is really a straight forward and rather ho-hum attempt at a thriller. However before that happens, the story is slow but compelling, thanks to the brilliant performances of the two leads Lee Boardman and Chloë Annett. The slow pace is not for everyone but this gives us a chance to get to know the characters. A good way to make us care for them, but we need to care about what is happening to them later and that's where the film stumbles for me.
