"Squatchers" hearkens back to those great 90's movies such as "The Goonies," the kind of film a family could watch together. The story here is plausible given the subject they seek, and the acting, direction, filming and lighting all come together to take the viewer on a delightful, charming adventure. Kudos to actor Mark Tambone as Ranger John Malcolm, who brings extra "zing" to the ensemble, a deft blend of comedic ability and intensity. This movie company seems to be dedicated to good, clean, old-fashioned fun, and I applaud them for that. All in all, a night with family, popcorn, hot cocoa and The Squatchers is a night well spent!
This movie is exactly what it's meant to be, a fun romp in the woods and other locations, silly characters, and fully entertaining. Well done Mr. Hubbard! Your cast appear to be having fun as well. What's not to love? Maybe the first scene is a little rocky, a bit overlit and a bit of room echo, but it smoothed right out very quickly. The pace of the movie is, in my opinion, very good as well. No drawn out boring expositions. Each characters' character is obvious and the dialogue rings true for these quirky semi-losers with good hearts. I'm def going to watch your other movies. I'm a fan! Pls make more.
I don't often write reviews of films, and it's not that this one was so awful that I needed to trash it. But when there are a number of reviews giving it 10/10, I had to bring some balance and honesty.
This film looks pretty good but that's about it as far as positives go. The actors mostly give over-the-top performances, scenes are so long and drawn out for no reason, and absolutely nothing of note happens until the 40 minute mark. We only get one glimpse of the Sasquatch towards the end of the film, and then you understand why he wasn't shown more often. The third act is okay, but the film would have been better had they cut it down to an hour long.

The movie is about a group of friends who, as a gift to a friend, agree to go on a camping trip to search for Bigfoot. It's fun, funny and lighthearted but also with moments that hit you in the feels. It's funny and relatable in many scenes (you can easily picture yourself hanging with the crew around the campfire as they sing the Squatcher song). You'll see excitement, good times, comedic emergencies, and what might happen when you meet your heroes. The movie is a celebration of friendship and the passion one can have for chasing their dreams. It's a marshmallow-fueled revisit to the comedic adventure movies we used to enjoy, but have seen released more and more sparingly as years have gone on. I highly recommend checking it out, it's well worth the watch!
I really enjoy watching this movie! The character dynamic between the group of friends is so fun and relatable. I personally hate camping, so I really feel for the character Fay who also hates camping and got dragged along on this. I'd say Lewis really cracked me up, and Nate was down right hilarious. The moment where they all sing the Squatchers song around the campfire was really beautiful and heartwarming to me. I love how much this movie celebrates friendship, the themes about believing, and the sense of magic and wonder all hit home for me. It's just a group of lovable rascals I could see myself being friends with in real life. There were a couple of moments I found myself being nervous about Bigfoot and the ranger too, all in all, this is a great movie and I highly recommend anyone see it.
