Forgive Me Father

When I sat down to watch the 2024 thriller "Forgive Me Father" I didn't know what I was in for. But I figured that a thriller with such a title and an interesting cover probably wasn't time wasted.

Imagine my surprise then, when I realized and saw that the majority of the 76 minutes that the movie ran for was nothing more than a dialogue between a priest and some guy. I can't honestly say that I have a clue what writer and director Fredi 'Kruga' Nwaka was trying to accomplish with the way that the storyline was constructed and brought to the screen, because watching a guy talk to a priest hardly constitutes being a thriller, much less an entertaining thriller. So "Forgive Me Father" was a swing and a miss, and a downright boring movie to suffer through.

I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, and that was actually something that spoke in favor of the movie. The acting performances in the movie were actually fair, despite the storyline being a dumpster fire.

If you enjoy thrillers, I wouldn't recommend that you waste 76 minutes on watching "Forgive Me Father", because it was a snoozefest and a boring one at that.

My rating of "Forgive Me Father" lands on a very, very generous three out of ten stars.
