The Diabetic

Never really cared about or "got" the main character. I never felt invested in the story. The main character's friend was more likable and relatable than the main character. The acting was good. It was clear there was some subtext going on there but I wasn't able to understand a lot of it. I feel like this has more potential as a short story or novella than as a full length movie. I wanted to be inside the main character's head a lot more than I was. What in his life brought him to the point that he felt he had something to prove by returning to his hometown and acting like a dumbass? And what now? No spoilers, but I found the arc unsatisfying. Ultimately, I don't even know which direction he's heading in as the story wraps up in terms of his next moves in life.
