*double sigh* So the first review I wrote was very honest, but seemed harsh.

Kudos to Carroll for never giving up on his dream, no matter the quality of his endeavors. While I'd like to say more great things about this film, I'm unable to.

It was a time consuming undertaking to watch at 1 hr, 9 minutes. I appreciate the attempt at handling challenging subject matter that many in American politics today try to eschew, but there needs to be greater attention to script and film editing (Were the car scenes filmed in a storage unit and meant to be fixed in post?), as well as makeup, especially for the cast's darker skinned members. How can you create a film meant to feature such lovely skin tones, then take NO CARE WHATSOEVER, to highlight their beauty with the smallest amount of makeup?

The plot could have been developed into something intriguing and wonderful - but wasn't. Maybe instead of churning out multiple offerings each year, this writer/director/producer could focus on creating fewer, quality works that are enjoyable and easier to support. We certainly look forward to that day!
