This show is hilarious, I am saying that as an indigenous person from Manitoba, so much relatable humour to what happens within our communities. Also the use of our language is really great too. It's so nice to have a sitcom that's made about us and for us after years of watching shows like Friends, or Big bang theory yes they are good but where is the indigenous representation.. Acting Good has this tenfold. Sorry to the folks out there who say it's terrible and racist.... Give your head and privilege a shake. No body said anything when Jack Nicholson told a black man to "think white and get serious" in as good as it gets (which is one of my favourite movies) ... or the years and years of indigenous appropriation, or cowboys and Indians women in television. Or the way indigenous people have been portrayed in cartoons up until recent years.
What I'm trying to say is this show is spot on as far indigenous humour goes and the happenings in indigenous communities. The show might embellish situations a bit but for me that just adds to funniness of it all.
Supper funny and relatable.

There's absolutely no reason to watch this rubbish.
The producers obviously took advantage of the complaints about a lack of IPOC on television to pitch this dreck to the networks and the fools at CTV bit on it even though they had to have known it was a stinker.
It's so bad it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out the network had to pay the sponsors.
Why this wreckage qualifies as a comedy is anybody's guess; the alleged writing is juvenile and I would say the humour is forced expect there is zero humour, the characters are unlikeable and the actors playing them are, to be charitable, wooden.
As others have indicated a negative rating would be more appropriate for this mess.

Not even Tina Keeper could save this awful attempt at Indigenous humor. Whoever wrote this crap should be ashamed of themselves. This is NOT how it is in a fly-in reserve. Trust me, the overweight actor who's attempting to be Chris Farley is just not funny as his annoying antics seem to obscure the poor acting and accents of the other err...actors. So many great indigenous based shows are coming out and then this one just ruins everything and put the culture back more years. For future reference, use actors from the north and not these wannabes and has-beens. The only thing accurate is the chief of the reserve. That's a pretty accurate rendition of a reserve anywhere.
Wow! The advertising for this show is so below the belt. I wish I could go lower than a 1 star rating and giving Acting Good a 2 star rating is just me being polite but I don't even know just what the hell the writers were smoking when they thought of this but it's just not good at all.
"Awwe! The little white girl wants to get started!"!
The actors in this show are just not acting good at all. I just want to not vomit every time I see the ads for this show but I might just do that.
Who writes shows like this. At the very least the actors can pretend that they're funny. It's just not funny..

I can tell that a few of the negative reviews were probably written by a bunch of white people who have never experienced living in an indigenous community. I used to be the "Brody" in Aklavik way up in NWT and this show is so relatable to my experience of Ak and the wonderful community and friends I've made up there. This show makes me miss Aklavik more than I normally do and the characters are so relatable and endearing. I honestly hope it gets renewed as I was looking forward do a new epi every week when it was airing on cable. I love the humor and jokes and I'm worried it about its renewal as not everyone gets it. Get it renewed I need a new season !!
