I can tell that a few of the negative reviews were probably written by a bunch of white people who have never experienced living in an indigenous community. I used to be the "Brody" in Aklavik way up in NWT and this show is so relatable to my experience of Ak and the wonderful community and friends I've made up there. This show makes me miss Aklavik more than I normally do and the characters are so relatable and endearing. I honestly hope it gets renewed as I was looking forward do a new epi every week when it was airing on cable. I love the humor and jokes and I'm worried it about its renewal as not everyone gets it. Get it renewed I need a new season !!
Wow! The advertising for this show is so below the belt. I wish I could go lower than a 1 star rating and giving Acting Good a 2 star rating is just me being polite but I don't even know just what the hell the writers were smoking when they thought of this but it's just not good at all.
"Awwe! The little white girl wants to get started!"!
The actors in this show are just not acting good at all. I just want to not vomit every time I see the ads for this show but I might just do that.
Who writes shows like this. At the very least the actors can pretend that they're funny. It's just not funny..

"Acting Good Show" has undoubtedly generated significant interest, and as an Indigenous Ojibwe from Manitoba, I eagerly tuned in with high hopes. Unfortunately, the cast's performances left much to be desired, as it was evident that many of them lacked the experience and polish that one might expect from a professional production.
The inexperience of the cast was unmistakable. The acting often came across as amateurish, with characters struggling to convey the depth and authenticity needed to engage the audience. While it's understandable that not every actor can be seasoned, the show would have benefitted immensely from a more rigorous casting process to ensure that the actors possessed the necessary skills to bring their characters to life effectively.
One of the most important aspects of a show like this is the ability to create a believable and immersive world. Unfortunately, the subpar performances hindered this crucial aspect. It was challenging to become emotionally invested in the characters and the storyline when the actors failed to deliver lines convincingly or portray their characters in a compelling manner.
While it is true that every actor starts somewhere, a production of this scale and importance demands a higher level of professionalism. The casting decisions in "Acting Good Show" may have been well-intentioned, but the end result fell short of the expectations of a discerning audience.
In summary, "Acting Good Show" suffers from a cast that, at times, feels unpolished and inexperienced. This detracted from the overall quality of the production and hindered the show's ability to create a captivating and believable narrative. The importance of rigorous casting and professional development for actors cannot be overstated, especially when dealing with a project that holds cultural significance, as it does for Indigenous communities like the Ojibwe in Manitoba.

It's SUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH an underrated show!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait for season 3.
If you watched Reservation Dawgs and miss the banter, this might do the trick. I see it as more of a lower budget sitcom version of it. Even if maybe only the main character is in sitcom mode (I totally get what another reviewer said about him acting as if he was doing voice over).
What I really appreciate is when a show about indigenous peoples includes music by native artists as well. The intro song has captured my heart.
Overall, I enjoy being able to research the things that I don't understand, just to find out they're actually indigenous traditions/pop culture/beliefs. This show also does this well.
Love that it plays in Canada.
I LOVE THE NATIVE PEOPLE!!!
LAND BACK NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

This show is hilarious, I am saying that as an indigenous person from Manitoba, so much relatable humour to what happens within our communities. Also the use of our language is really great too. It's so nice to have a sitcom that's made about us and for us after years of watching shows like Friends, or Big bang theory yes they are good but where is the indigenous representation.. Acting Good has this tenfold. Sorry to the folks out there who say it's terrible and racist.... Give your head and privilege a shake. No body said anything when Jack Nicholson told a black man to "think white and get serious" in as good as it gets (which is one of my favourite movies) ... or the years and years of indigenous appropriation, or cowboys and Indians women in television. Or the way indigenous people have been portrayed in cartoons up until recent years.
What I'm trying to say is this show is spot on as far indigenous humour goes and the happenings in indigenous communities. The show might embellish situations a bit but for me that just adds to funniness of it all.
Supper funny and relatable.
