After years of the same "girl meets boy during the holidays in New York or New England" movies, Merry Kiss Cam comes along and breaks the mold. It is such a gift to see a movie filmed in the beautiful northern Minnesota city of Duluth. Rarely does a movie combine themes that will interest both men and women, but then along comes a gem combining art and hockey with a cute cast and fun story.

The fascinating part of the movie for me centers around the temperate climate and friendly nature of Minnesota, something I was not aware of before watching this movie.

I would highly recommend this movie to everyone and feel it may inspire many to visit Duluth next holiday season!

I love this little gem of a holiday movie!!! It's like a modern day Fever Pitch (with Drew Barrymore & Jimmy Fallon classic rom com). I have always liked Jesse Bradford and loved seeing him in this cute rom com!!! Also from Scandal is Katie Lowes who is great and shows real emotion in this movie. They had such great chemistry, banter but also solid emotional scenes. This story tugged at your heart strings while also making you smile and laugh. Such a great, heart warming story about love, grief and everything that falls in between. Please keep making more cute movies like this!! Rom coms are scarce and I loved this!

I'm not a huge holiday movie fan with movies like this but I had to watch it because it was filmed in my area which doesn't happen often. It did have some different elements that were not typical for this type of meet-cute holiday movie which I appreciated. The acting was pretty good over all and spot on for some Minnesotan-isms. I'm glad they didn't over do the holiday decorations like some movies but I could definitely tell in some scenes that it was not filmed in the winter. I also like the fact that a lot of the actors are actually from Minnesota and they showed quite a few local features. It's not going to be a holiday favorite but definitely one I'll watch again.

As a Hallmark romcom. It's exactly like what you're looking for.

As representing Duluth, no. This is what Duluth wants you to think it is. It definitely wasn't filmed in winter. And didn't show the natural beauty of Duluth. Just the old buildings. And good ol' Duluth fashion, made sure to keep Superior Wisconsin out of the picture.

There is a drinking game in here which is good. Everytime they show the Carmody sign, take a shot. Makes the movie much better.

Cinematography was fine. Acting was okay. Story was a Hallmark Christmas story. As cut and paste as they all come. Nothing special.....

Finally one of these movies when two adults actually choose to date like adults instead of just running into each other around town and pretending they don't know what kissing is. Barely a Christmas movie but who cares? I've seen enough stages tree lightings to last three lifetimes. Chemistry between the leads was on fire. More please! At this point I just have to fill space but if you are still reading, you should know I also liked the hockey element, the Nick Miller vibes on Jesse Bradford, the leading lady having her own look instead of the same generic hair and clothes the leading women's have on basic cable.
