I would consider Night Rulers a horror comedy short film built around the theme of vampires. There are several aspects worth mentioning. First, the cinematography was both nice and fun; following a character from behind (although this resulted in the cameraman being briefly reflected in a glass) and using ultra-slow-motion scenes with stylish music complemented the film's somewhat comedic tone. Second, there were several unexpected plot twists that caught me off guard - a sign of an engaging and surprising story that holds your attention. Third, the short almost felt like an opening scene of a full-length movie. This approach is quite common in action-comedies. Who knows, maybe someday we'll get to watch a full-length feature or at least a half-hour episode of Night Rulers.
