I cannot describe how much I love this show. I watched a whole lot of k-drama in the past three years. And finally, I felt like I have nothing to watch. Then I saw this. Usually I watch rom-com so my first reaction was to pass this. But I really love Hyeri and since I had nothing else in my mind I decided to give it a chance. And I loved it.
I really love both leads. I think they are doing a fantastic job in acting. And I think they have a really good chemistry. I have never seen male lead in anything before and after watching this show I watched more of his work and I also visited Hyeri's old works too.
Also... I loveeee the writing. I cannot believe how much I am waiting for a new episode. I cannot get this show out of my mind. I love the comedy aspect of it, and the light romance, and the beautifully portrayed drama of the passing of the loved ones. It is sad, but not very dark. You feel like you should hold onto life more.
I am a person with depression and this drama came to my life in a really good time. I feel at ease after I watch every episode.
I just hope they wrap this up nicely. I watched so many great shows with so many disappointing endings. I really hope this would not be the case at all for this show.
Hyeri and Jun <3 nothing but love for you.

This is one of those brilliant stories that the creators wasted an enormous amount of time on stills, replays and completely unnecessary angst. Not sure what they were aiming for, but for me it was uncomfortable to watch all 16 episodes.
The true plot only unfolds at the very end. A well kept secret that a viewer like myself might miss due to the bloated episodes (so many repeat scenes - if I were to count there is a particular scene that repeated between 32 & 48 times).
The actors chosen for each role is spectacular. Each brought their character to life. This is the key reason I managed to stay with the drama. Definitely 10 🌟 for casting.
While I'm not a fan of the way people's faith/religion is portrayed in most kdramas this one kept it real for the everyday yet authentic experience. Not cartoonish at all.
Aside from the nauseating number of replays that could cause delirium (maybe that's what the director wanted), the soundtrack was emotionally draining. Difficult to endure over 16 episodes.
Relationships between the characters were a wonderful treat and relief from the inevitable heaviness of the story. Again, they felt real with the everyday caring, challenges and expectations especially among family members or longtime high school friends. Yet the level of deception between a few characters is a bit gut wrenching. So steel your emotions.
However, as not everyone is the same on how they experience dramas like this one I do recommend it for the unique story, and great cast. It was truly rewarding to see how the story comes to fruition and that it wasn't just a bizarre series of events threaded together.
Final note on my rating. I did not enjoy my time watching this due to the draining manner of presentation and music soundtrack.

I never wrote a movie/drama review but this drama is an exception. It drives my feelings like on a roller-coaster and I may need time to get over it. The story is a bit slow sometimes and people may lose their patience for it, but there is always a reason behind those scenes. I love Dong Ju character's personality so much, such a warm and cool young lady. I cried like a river watching the last episode. The messages delivered by this drama are so meaningful. Love the cast, especially two main leads, their acting and chemistry are superb. It s sad that there is nothing for me to look forward to in every Wed and Thu now. But hopefully, there will be season 2 with the same main leads.
So I have the privilege of seeing this series on Amazon prime in the western hemisphere. I generally enjoy it this far, some good visuals, sense of magic common to kdramas more so than any other industry in my view, and good acting. Sweet moments which is generally appreciated. I have a few complaints. There are some cliche ideas to begin with. For example I find that some characters were befallen my major misfortunes that are incredibly unlikely in real life, so while the case led to very entertaining couple of episodes, I couldn't help but wonder why kdramas feature unnecessary cruel and unlikely occurrences. Second, the piggy back ride- it can be very endearing but I feel like men shouldn't have to piggyback women as an expectation. Women need to show a whole lot of appreciation and frankly avoid getting so drunk. It's a vehicle that makes female audiences swoon over handsome Korean stars but it's somewhat misleading and not fair. Third, why not give someone a hug more freely when they're feeling down? For sure there may be cultural differences but if you're hugging this same person for piggy backs, you should be able to offer some emotional support even simply as a friend. Finally the mechanism of scoffing is overused. Still entertaining and well put together. I'll probably see it to the end.
